On Wednesday, the Pentagon released the first videos of what it called a “precision strike” on the compound that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was held up in.
President Donald Trump has been communicating what the raid entailed for several days during his press conferences and now, the American people are seeing some of that footage.

Fox News reports:
Marine Corps Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr., commander of U.S. Central Command, gave a play-by-play of the special operations forces raid on an ISIS compound in northern Syria last Saturday that ended with Baghdadi killing himself with an explosive vest.
Overall, U.S. forces killed six ISIS members – four women and another man aside from Baghdadi – in the raid. McKenzie also clarified that Baghdadi’s explosive vest also killed two children he had brought with him into a tunnel when U.S. troops pursued him.
“He crawled into a hole with two small children and blew himself up while his people stayed on the ground,” the general said.
Many believe this is the same feed the president viewed in real time as the strike occurred.
The DoD also explained that they had al-Baghdadi’s DNA, which was taken while he was at Camp Bucca during his captivity by America.

“I want to make it clear that despite the violent nature of the raid, and the high profile nature of this assault, every effort was made to avoid civilians casualties and to protect the children that we suspected would be at the compound,” Mckenzie told reporters.
