“Rape-Murder Fantasy”: Mother and Boyfriend Stand Accused of Rape, Strangling & Dismembering of Daughter

There are a lot of sick things in this world and this is right at the top of the list. A mother stands accused of helping her boyfriend, who raped her daughter, to drug her, strangle her and dismember her body in Quakertown, Pennsylvania.

The Washington Post reports:

Grace Packer became a foster child at age 3.

At age 14, she suffered a slow and painful death — raped, drugged and left to die in a sweltering attic, court records say.

When those actions didn’t result in her death, she was strangled, prosecutors say. Then her body was packed in cat litter and left in the same attic for months. Police would later find her dismembered remains in rural Pennsylvania.

Officials say her gruesome death was carried out by a 41-year-old woman she had known as her mother, who adopted the teenager and her younger brother, and the mother’s boyfriend. Sara Packer and Jacob Sullivan were charged Sunday with several crimes, including homicide, kidnapping, endangering the welfare of a child and abuse of corpse. Sullivan who, police say, raped Grace in the attic, is facing additional sexual assault charges.

According to Bucks County District Attorney Matthew Weintraub Packer’s death was the result of a long premeditated “rape-murder fantasy.” This fantasy was not only that of Sullivan, but of Grace’s adoptive mother as well.

“Unfortunately, Grace Packer was a disposable child to these people,” Weintraub said. “Who will now speak for Grace Packer? We will.”

Weintraub referred to the crime as “heinous” and “depraved.”

Just one week before Packer and Sullivan were arrested, they apparently were about to engage in a suicide pact in which they attempted to kill themselves by overdosing on pills. When that failed, they were taken to the hospital.

At the hospital, Sullivan disclosed the details of his crimes and Grace’s death, including the fact that Packer had been contemplating her daughter’s murder since the Fall of 2015. The murder took place at their house in Quakertown on July 8, 2016.

Sullivan admitted to hitting Grace several times before taking her to the attic where he raped her while her mother watched. This was not his first sexual assault on Grace either. According to investigators, he had done so on at least two prior occasions.

After leaving to obtain some sort of medication to sedate Grace and returning, having administered the drugs to her, the couple left the young girl in the attic believing she would be overcome by the drugs and heat.

The couple checked on her at 3am the next morning, some twelve hours later. Finding that she was still alive, Sullivan strangled her, saying that it was “more physical and took much longer than he expected,” according to an affidavit.

They then packed Grace’s body in cat litter so that it would not smell and left it in the attic for three months.

Just days after her death, Packer told police that Grace had stolen $300 from her and ran away from home. Investigators saw inconsistencies in her story, as well as strange behavior following her report.

Detectives then searched the house and discovered a receipt for a bow saw and two blades, which they believe were used to dismember Grace.

The couple were denied bail and are scheduled for a preliminary hearing on January 20.

Grace’s brother is now with other family members, according to Weintraub.

“The question is: How could any mother do this to a child?” Weintraub asked. “I’m bereft. I don’t have an answer.”

I do. It’s the sinful nature of men, in which God lets them go in their sin to destroy themselves. It’s not complicated, but sometimes the depths of depravity to which men sink are utterly shocking to us.

Since Sullivan has confessed openly to the crime, he should be summarily executed and so should Packer if she is found guilty.  That would be justice.
