Rashida Tlaib’s Family Was Questioned By FBI After 9/11 Terror Attacks

In 2008, Rashida Tlaib became the first Muslim Palestinian woman to serve in the Michigan Legislature. She served three terms.

Recently, Rashida won the Democratic primary election for Michigan’s 13th congressional district. There are no republican’s running for this seat, so Tlaib will be the first Muslim Palestinian U.S. Congresswoman.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

According to Rashida’s mother, Rashida also has plans to run for President in 2020.

I’ve written several reports on Rashida but until yesterday, I didn’t know much about her family. It turns out that her mother, father and brother were all questioned after the 9/11 terror attacks. This is just one more reason we should be cautious of Rashida.

In a 2011 interview with Rashida Tlaib and Linda Sarsour, Rashida says that her family was questioned by the FBI after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Rashida claims that she was scared after 9/11 because she knew the FBI would come to question them.

In the interview, Rashida states: “We were really really scared. I was scared because we knew the FBI was going to come door knocking and they did. My mother had the first visit when my father wasn’t home and then my father had the swat team show up to his business. My brother, someone called the 800 number and said he was a terrorist.”

Rashida does not mention what came of the investigation nor could I find any documentation of her family being questioned. But what I find extremely worrisome is not just the fact that the FBI questioned Rashida’s family but that Rashida says they were living in fear, waiting for the FBI to question them. If Rashida’s family had no involvement how did they know they would be questioned by the FBI? Why were they so scared?
