Rep. Al Green Indicated Trump Should Be Impeached For Slavery – Omits Mention Of HR5038 Reestablishing Indentured Servitude

Just when you think “stupid” couldn’t reach a new low, it does.  Everyone is familiar with Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) voicing concern about Guam tipping over with the addition of military members being on the island.  Now, Rep. Al Green (D-TX) indicated that the impeachment of Donald Trump needed to address slavery and racism.  Yes, you read that correctly.  Rep. Al Green wants to include the issues of slavery and racism as reasons to impeach Donald Trump.  Congratulations Texas!  You now have a representative to keep Hank Johnson company in the “stupid” boat.

Breitbart News reported:

On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Weekends,” Rep. Al Green (D-TX) said the issues of slavery and racism needed to be addressed in the impeachment of President Donald Trump.

When asked about impeachment articles, Green said, “I believe that the American people understand that this is something that we must do at this point. I don’t speak for all of the American people. About a majority seem to think so. And I think that we’re moving forward in a very cautious and prudent way, which is what is expected. But I also think that if we don’t include some of the things that are important to people of color, then I think that our business won’t be finished. I do believe, ma’am, that we have to deal with the original sin. We have to deal with slavery. Slavery was the thing that put all of what President Trump has done lately into motion.”

He continued, “The president has played on racism, and he’s used that as a weapon to galvanize a base of support, to mobilize people. We cannot overlook what happened when he came down the escalator and just demeaned people of color — when he talked about the s-hole countries. He has found a way to use ugly words to his benefit and to the detriment of the people who are the object of his words.”

He added, “So I appreciate whatever we will do, but until we deal with the issue of invidious discrimination as it relates to LGBTQ community, the antisemitism, the racism, the Islamophobia, the transphobia, and also the misogyny that he has exemplified, I don’t think our work is done.”

So, who is really the racist when “things important to people of color” need to be included in impeachment?  And, Rep. Green wants to make slavery the “original sin”.  Everyone knows or should know what the original sin involved – it wasn’t slavery.  Slavery certainly is not to be blamed for what any president, Trump or otherwise, has done, period.  How short the memory of Green is because Hussein Soetoro was the “king” of playing the race card, engaging in racism, and using those tools as weapons against much of the American public.

Green indicated he thinks Trump should suffer the consequences because of identifying some foreign countries as s-holes.  Well, many would agree that some foreign countries are s-hole countries, mainly because of the corrupt governments that engage in human rights violations, steal from the government coffers to enrich themselves, eliminate their political opposition through “force”, and steal from the people.  In other words, most dictatorships and countries governed by theocracies masquerading as religions qualify for the Trump distinction, regardless of skin color.  Green doesn’t need to worry about Trump demeaning people of color with words because Green does it when it appears in public.  He, of all people, should not be engaging in activity or speech that perpetuates a stereotype.

Green wants to condemn Trump for what he believes is “discrimination” against the LGBTQrsuvwxyz community, the Muslim community aka Islamophobia, and misogyny in formal impeachment proceedings.  But, Trump has not used the government to engage in any discrimination against any “protected” class.  How Green can accuse Trump of anti-semitism when his daughter converted to Judaism in order to marry Jared Kushner is beyond comprehension.

If this type of “discrimination” is paramount as a means of impeachment, why was Green silent when Hussein Soetoro discriminated against heterosexual community, the Christian community, and American citizens of all backgrounds?  Oh, that’s right;  Hussein Soetoro was considered to be an “individual of color” so what he did was somehow justified.

While Green is huffing and puffing about slavery, he’s probably all set to vote with Democrats on House bill H.R. 5038, The Farm Workforce Modernization Act of 2019, which will essentially re-establish the 17th century practice of indentured servitude in the united States.  This bill has nothing to do with “modernizing” farming or the farming workforce.  It does, however, provide amnesty for illegal alien farm workers similar to the 1986 amnesty, which didn’t work, expand the H-2A program, a permanent importation of impoverished individuals into the US, mandatory E-verify for agriculture employees, and created indentured servants of those who are newly granted amnesty.

The tenets of this bill justify every individual American citizen who values the Constitution and God-given individual unalienable rights to call their representative urging them to vote against this horrendous bill.  Indentured servitude was prohibited by the Thirteenth Amendment to the Constitution, except when convicted of a crime.  While illegal alien invasion is a problem that should be dealt with through enforcement of current immigration law, with provision removed for anchor babies and chain immigration, no individual should be made an indentured servant in exchange for “amnesty” from immigration law.  Besides, it would not prevent these individuals from also gaining additional employment in other industries while “serving” their sentence as an indentured servant.

Think of it this way – if these charlatans can get indentured servitude through on this bill for “seasonal agricultural workers”, aka illegal aliens coming to the US to work in the agriculture fields, as a condition of “amnesty” for breaking immigration law, then these charlatans can expand that to include any US citizen for any reason.

Green is grandstanding because he doesn’t care about “people of color” or people in general for that matter.  If he did, he would have highlighted H.R. 5038 as disparaging to “people of color” because the bill re-establishes indentured servitude for individuals who are mostly “people of color” from foreign nations in exchange for amnesty.  If anyone thinks this will work to discourage illegal alien invasion, they have not been paying attention.  How does the government plan to enforce this legislation, if passed, against violators?  Hint – it won’t.  But, if indentured servitude re-emerges and is expanded to include US citizens, who the government has surveilled, hoovered every piece of data on citizens it could and used every available means to identify every citizen, you can bet the government will bring its full force to bear on those citizens it intends to “enslave” further.

Green only wants to punish Trump for anything and everything from the point of Adam and Eve until now that humanity has done wrong.  Despite the ratification of the Thirteenth Amendment eradicating slavery and countless dead from a civil war where slavery was used as an emotional catalyst to enslave the States to the federal government, Green wants Trump to pay for slavery.  In actuality, Green wants white people to continue to pay for slavery;  Trump is just the representative of all white people.  Green wants Trump to pay for limiting influx into the US of the followers of Islam.  Green is using Trump as the representative of the Christian community, who are targeted by the followers of Islam for persecution, that views Islam as a cult of Satan.  While Trump has exhibited a less than fondness for the Constitution, he does not deserve to be blamed for the sins of others – only for what he does wrong.

While Green wants to blame a specific demographic for all the woes experienced by other demographics, what is really wrong with this country is people like Green – petty individuals who can’t move forward because of living in the past, blaming their shortcomings on others, repeating the same mistakes over and over, never learning anything, and expecting something for nothing.  Surely, not all the people Green represents are like him, just as not all the people Johnson represents are like him.  However, both are embarrassments to those they serve.  Unfortunately, continued gerrymandering of districts will ensure both stay in Congress, not because of their skill, but because of their demographic.  What Green and Johnson do not realize is they are the “slaves”, “indentured servants”, of their government masters;  therefore, they mind not leading others to the same fate.
