Senator Rand Paul: “Someone Is Going To Be Killed” Because Of Democrats’ Violence-Inciting Rhetoric

Honestly, it is truly baffling how anyone in this republic can support any Democratic Party candidate for any elected position at any level of government.  Members like “Mad Max”ine Waters and Cory Booker have urged fringe extreme anti-constitutionalists to harass and aggressively invade the personal space of any individual in opposition to Democrats and their agenda.  Moreover, the Democratic Party leadership is out to lunch on sanctioning their members who have called for violence against their Republican colleagues in both chambers of Congress.

On Tuesday, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) spoke with Kentucky radio host Leland Conway, urging “fellow lawmakers to be mindful of their rhetoric amid escalating tensions between the parties.”  Sen. Paul was attacked not long ago by a neighbor, suffering six broken ribs, pneumonia and lung contusions.  His family has also received threats, prompting his wife, Kelley, to write an op-ed to Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ).

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Infowars.com reported:

The senator expressed concern that the division could lead to an “assassination” following the highly-charged fight over the Supreme Court and Brett Kavanaugh.

“I really worry that someone is going to be killed and that those who are ratcheting up the conversation… they have to realize that they bear some responsibility if this elevates to violence,” Paul said.

Paul made specific mention of Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) after being asked about the politician’s recent call for activists concerned about homelessness to “get up in the face of some congress people and tell them about common sense solutions.”

“I think what people need to realize is when people like Cory Booker say ‘get up in their face,’ he may think that that’s OK,” Paul said. “But what he doesn’t realize is that for about every 1,000 persons who want to get up in your face, one of them is going to be unstable enough to commit violence.”

Sen. Paul’s radio appearance occurred several days after his wife, Kelley, wrote an open letter to Sen. Booker, which appeared on CNN.com.  Mrs. Paul detailed the harassment and assault experienced by her husband.

It’s nine o’clock at night, and as I watch out the window, a sheriff’s car slowly drives past my home. I am grateful that they have offered to do extra patrols, as someone just posted our home address, and Rand’s cell number, on the internet — all part of a broader effort to intimidate and threaten Republican members of Congress and their families. I now keep a loaded gun by my bed. Our security systems have had to be expanded. I have never felt this way in my life.

In the last 18 months, our family has experienced violence and threats of violence at a horrifying level. I will never forget the morning of the shooting at the congressional baseball practice, the pure relief and gratitude that flooded me when I realized that Rand was okay.

He was not okay last November, when a violent and unstable man attacked him from behind while he was working in our yard, breaking six ribs and leaving him with lung damage and multiple bouts of pneumonia. Kentucky’s secretary of state, Alison Lundergan Grimes, recently joked about it in a speech. MSNBC commentator Kasie Hunt laughingly said on air that Rand’s assault was one of her “favorite stories.” Cher, Bette Midler, and others have lauded his attacker on Twitter. I hope that these women never have to watch someone they love struggle to move or even breathe for months on end.

Earlier this week, Rand was besieged in the airport by activists “getting up in his face,” as you, Senator Booker, encouraged them to do a few months ago. Preventing someone from moving forward, thrusting your middle finger in their face, screaming vitriol — is this the way to express concern or enact change? Or does it only incite unstable people to violence, making them feel that assaulting a person is somehow politically justifiable?

Senator Booker, Rand has worked with you to co-sponsor criminal justice reform bills. He respects you, and so do I. I would call on you to retract your statement. I would call on you to condemn violence, the leaking of elected officials’ personal addresses (our address was leaked from a Senate directory given only to senators), and the intimidation and threats that are being hurled at them and their families.

This is unacceptable regardless of political party.  Moreover, the response by elected officials like Alison Lundergan Grimes is more than disgraceful;  it’s deplorable.  One would not expect any better from the lamestream entertainment enemedia or Hollyweirdos.  One should expect better behavior from those elected to office.

But, this is now the modus operandi quid pro quo of the Democratic Party – exact harassment and assault against all Republicans and those supportive of President Trump and we, the Democrat Party, will give you what we think you ought to have.  These elected Democrats are pandering to the fringe extremists in hopes of thwarting President Trump’s administration.  That has been their priority;  and, now that it’s becoming apparent they may not succeed, they have called for harassment and violence against the opposition.  These hypocrites would condemn harshly any Republican elected official or Democrat-opposing individual who encouraged the public to react with violence and harassment against them.

While there has been a #WalkAway movement by Democrat Party supporters and party members, it is apparent that not all have broken their bonds of brainwashing to leave Democrats because of their incitement of violence, which is a crime, against their opposition.  If you are still a member of the Democrat Party, you are indirectly supporting this call for assault and violence.  If the Republican Party engaged in calling for violence against Democrats, the same thing would apply to them and their supporters as well.  It is never acceptable to call for violence, harassment or assault against another, period.  In fact, it is a crime.  Those who engage in this incitement of violence should be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

As a reminder, this is an example of speech that is not protected by the First Amendment.

While neither a Republican or Democrat, credit is given where credit is due and criticism is applied where it is applicable.  Donald Trump is not a president devoted to protecting, defending and upholding the Constitution.  While he has made some progress, overall, Trump has not held to his oath of office.  Grant you, he was the better choice against Hillary Clinton.  Honestly, a flea would have been a better choice than Hillary Clinton.   But, any president, office holder or candidate for office calling for the suspension of God-given individual unalienable rights recognized, guaranteed and protected by the Constitution for the united States of America should not be in office nor should he/she be elected to office.  The purpose of government is to protect God-given individual unalienable rights, not trample them, legislate them away through pseudo-law, or deny them to anyone based on age, sex, creed, religion, or socioeconomic status.  This would be unlawful, unconstitutional, criminal and a usurpation of authority.

Put simply, those who remain blindly dedicated to supporting the Democrat Party after members of that party have called for violence, harassment and assault against those opposing their agenda or party, in general, are unredeemable at this point.  Leaving the Democrat Party does not mean one has to shift to the Republican Party.  Many Americans do not identify with any “party” but support, protect, and defend the Constitution.  No one should follow another or a party blindly.  Doing so means supporting those in that party who violate the Constitution.  And, to be honest, all elected officials in both parties have violated the Constitution at one point or another.

In the short term, citizens should swiftly and harshly rebuke all calls to incite violence by Democrat elected officials.  It is behavior that is intolerable.  Moreover, all Hollyweirdos and lamestream entertainment enemedia “talking heads” and “Silicone Barbies” engaging in applauding and mocking attacks on Republicans or Democratic opposition need to be called out as well.  Regardless of anyone’s political persuasion, incitement to violence is a crime and should not be tolerated, nor should enjoyment of violence.  Most of all, it is immoral.
