Well, here we go again, and this time it’s in Florida.  A significant train derailment has taken place in Manatee County on Tuesday morning and among the concerns is a car that was carrying 30,000 gallons of propane.

Insider Paper has the story.

Manatee County officials are looking into what caused the train derailment.

According to Manatee County Emergency Medical Services, Hazmat crews are responding after a train came partially off the tracks in Manatee County on Tuesday morning.

The train derailment happened in the area of 301 Boulevard East and 16th Street East.

Two of the cars were carrying propane, and four cars were carrying sheetrock, officials said.

One of the cars contains about 30,000 gallons of propane, according to Bradenton Herald report.

“There has been a pretty significant derailment,” Manatee County Commissioner announced during a public meeting on Tuesday. “It will be multiple days before the tracks are cleared.”

Thermal imaging shows no leaks as of noon, but hazmat crews are still monitoring.

At this time, no evacuation orders have been issued.

We’ve previously reported on a number of train derailments this year, as well as the month of February.

On Monday, Dr. Lee Merritt commented on the derailment in Ohio and how it appears to be another maneuver for a land grab.
