Sports Icons Rip Into NFL Flag Protests

What do NFL Hall of Famer and Civil Rights Activist Jim Brown, NFL great Benjamin Watson, and Boxing Legend George Foreman all have in common?

They all think that the NFL’s recent National Anthem protests are ridiculous and should end.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Jim Brown on the Flag Protest being un-American:

“Colin has to make up his mind whether he’s truly an activist or whether he’s a football player,” Brown said outside the pro-Kaepernick rally in New York City on Thursday.

“Football is commercial,” he continued, “you have owners, you have fans, and you want to honor that if you’re making that kind of money.”

“I’m going to give you the real deal,” he said. “I’m an American. I don’t desecrate my flag and my national anthem. I’m not gonna do anything against the flag and the national anthem. I’m going to work within those situations. But this is my country, and I’ll work out the problems, but I’ll do it in an intelligent manner.”

George Foreman on the privileged, spoiled, and ungrateful NFL’ers who are protesting our beautiful flag:

“The greatest day of my life was when I put on my colors, representing the United States in the Olympics,” said Foreman, who won the gold for the U.S. in 1968. “I love the United States. I love the flag. But there are a lot of people who haven’t found that reason. They don’t strive. They haven’t been brought up with people who were patriotic to even point them in the right direction.”

“A lot of people died so that they can have that privilege” to take a knee during the National Anthem, said Foreman.

Ravens Tight End Benjamin Watson on the ultimate form of racist activity in America today – it’s not cops, it’s abortion. Watson won’t be taking a knee during the anthem, but he will be fighting against the scourge of abortion that blatantly kills so many minority children in America today:

“I do know that blacks kind of represent a large portion of the abortions, and I do know that honestly the whole idea with Planned Parenthood and Sanger in the past was to exterminate blacks,” Watson told Turning Point Pregnant Resource Center.

Watson went on to explain what it means to be “pro-life”:

“If you are someone who cares about life period, then you have to care about it from conception all the way up to death. To me, being pro-life means that you hold all life very dear and you understand that all life was created by God and that because of that, life has internal, intrinsic value, whether it’s capable of living on its own at that point or whether it is capable of living on its own at the end of its life.”

I wish today’s NFL’ers would listen to these great men and reconsider their fallacious and illogical protests.

Our police officers are not promoting systemic racism, the race-baiting racism profiteers are. The people who promote these protests are the very people who are causing the problems we see in the nation today, and they’re doing it to line their pockets with money.

Don’t believe it? Just look at the luxurious lifestyles they live.
