Stay Tuned For More Obamas: Netflix Signs Multi-Year Contract With Former Usurper-In-Chief & Wife

America has been ready to move past the usurper-in-chief, Barack Hussein Obama Soetoro Sobarkah, and his wife, Michelle, for some time now, but they just won’t quietly go away.  On Monday, Netflix announced it had signed a multi-year contract with the Obamas to produced films and a series for the company.

“President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama have entered into a multi-year agreement to produce films and series for Netflix, potentially including scripted series, unscripted series, docu-series, documentaries, and features,” tweeted Netflix.

“One of the simple joys of our time in public service was getting to meet so many fascinating people from all walks of life, and to help them share their experiences with a wider audience,” said Barack Obama. “That’s why Michelle and I are so excited to partner with Netflix — we hope to cultivate and curate the talented, inspiring, creative voices who are able to promote greater empathy and understanding between peoples, and help them share their stories with the entire world.”

“Barack and I have always believed in the power of storytelling to inspire us, to make us think differently about the world around us, and to help us open our minds and hearts to others,” said Michelle Obama. “Netflix’s unparalleled service is a natural fit for the kinds of stories we want to share, and we look forward to starting this exciting new partnership.”

“Barack and Michelle Obama are among the world’s most respected and highly-recognized public figures and are uniquely positioned to discover and highlight stories of people who make a difference in their communities and strive to change the world for the better,” said Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos. “We are incredibly proud they have chosen to make Netflix the home for their formidable storytelling abilities.”

While the couple were reportedly paid $65 million by Penguin Random House for their respective memoirs in March, there has not been a number given yet as to how much this Netflix contract will be worth, but like anything else, these two Marxists revel in capitalism when it suits them.

However, according to The Hollywood Reporter:

The unprecedented deal is Obama’s first big move after exiting the White House in 2017. The deal is also the latest talent feat for Netflix as the streamer continues to expand its unscripted and informational original programming. Netflix’s recent pact with mega-producer Ryan Murphy is said to be worth as much as $300 million.

So, what are subscribers of Netflix supposed to be expecting to see from the Obamas?  According to The New York Times, there are two potential shows.

In one, “Mr. Obama could moderate conversations on topics that dominated his presidency.” Another show “could feature Mrs. Obama on topics, like nutrition, that she championed in the White House.”

The response on Twitter was pretty much a yawn, as in, who would ever watch what the Obamas put out?

Some pointed out the obvious corruption of Netflix contracting with people who are now documented as engaging in criminal activity.

Obviously, there were some who were not only thrilled that the Obamas got the Netflix contract, but believes a majority of people will watch.

Then there were the cancellations.

And the boycotts have started.
