Strength Under Control – Are You Self-Governed?

Here’s a question for Americans: Are you self-governed?

Many can see our country has lost control. Yet how many realize that they themselves have lost control?

The media, government and educational system divide, destroy and lie to the people, yet pretend to care about us.

Elites promote feminism, secularism and socialism, deluding people to reject family, God and freedom.

The government pushes homosexuality and transgenderism even on our children and soldiers.

We get what we deserve by allowing them to do it.

The new norm for black youth include riots, destruction, blocking roads and assaulting white people – enraged over imagined “injustice.” Meanwhile, real victims go into hiding, slandered and unheard.

The untrustworthy mainstream media and government pretend to combat “fake news” and seek to shut down anyone exposing them.

Do you hate what’s going on? Most do.

We know that government “of the people, by the people, for the people” requires a moral people for it to work.

John Adams said, “The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue.”

How did immorality become the mainstream?

In the Bible, Paul says to “take every thought into captivity.” Many feel out-of-control in their lives and families. Many more are in denial.

Out-of-wedlock births are accepted by all races with no sense of shame. Women control men through sex, and men willingly use women for sex.

Many reject masculinity, and so reject God. The culture openly attacks and discriminates against men, as women and children go out of control.

Men become male nurses and stay-at-home “dads” and take on female roles. Worse, men become emotional and surrender their dignity and authority.

Conservative parents unwittingly turn their children away when they’re young, then lose them to liberalism in school.

Most never address lingering resentment toward mothers and fathers.

They feel conflict, but escape into food, drink, pot, pornography, entertainment – and most of all, anger – wasting away their lives and bodies.

What’s the solution? How can you protect yourself and family, and be a force for good, rather than be affected by your outer environment?

Have you noticed one prominent man who is not pushed around by the world (nor apparently by his wife)? He’s seemingly not flustered by intense, continuous pressure and slander from all sides.

Instead, he affects the world around him.

Donald Trump has changed politics and culture through relentless openness and boldness – and received tremendous love and hate for it.

I stood back and watched Trump since he announced his run for president. He decried the long-ignored problem of illegal aliens, drugs, crime and rape coming from Mexico. He described the disgraceful presidency of Barack Obama.

Naturally, evil attacked him for telling the truth. Trump defended himself without visible anger or fear, and he almost never backed down.

I’ve watched Trump deal with enemies who hate him, and they have no choice but to respect him.

I’ve been reading his book, “The Art of the Deal.” Trump wrote of hiring a lawyer even though this lawyer had previously undermined him. Rather than never work with the man again, Donald overlooked the betrayal because he was the best man for the job, and Trump told him so.

Reading his book, the question occurred to me to ask on my radio show: Are you self-governed?

I believe Donald Trump is self-governed.

Some claim Trump is “angry,” “thin-skinned” or “unstable.” Do not be so quick to judge. He dominates the opposition with shrewdness and force of personality – and, unlike Obama – realness.

Many intellectuals despise Trump’s masculinity, and they talk tough against him. But all who oppose him fall by the wayside.

Many attempt to imitate Trump. They feign boldness and brashness; some try to take on his personality. It does not work.

Are you a man of power, position and strong character? If you’re a woman, are you a woman of pure decency and respect? If not, why not?

As children of God, we have his character. People of character and self-discipline prosper. Even in suffering and dying, Christ did not lose his power or become weak, but held fast and won sinners over to him.

Some emphasize that Christ was “humble and meek,” and mistakenly they assume unimposing and nice. They’re the same who claim Trump is “arrogant.”

Most do not know what true humility is, nor do they recognize their own arrogance in judging Trump.

A recent guest on my radio show defined the word “meek” in the Bible as having “strength under control.” This is what I see in Donald Trump.

The man I interviewed too – NASCAR driver Robert Bakke – talked about this way of living: God created you perfect. Become that perfect person.

It’s just as Christ said: “Be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” Your country, your family, your life depends on it.

I urge you to pray. It works for me. I share silent prayer instructions linked from the church webpage of my nonprofit, BOND. Stay with God in prayer, and you can become self-governed.
