Strictly Personal: From The 6-Day War To The White House

Tomorrow, May 3, 2019, is my 67th birthday. Accordingly, it is time for my annual “Strictly Personal” column. I think it only fair that readers should have an opportunity to learn a little something about the person who writes the words they read. Today’s column is designed with that goal in mind. And since Charley Reese (one of my favorite columnists) stopped writing, I am the only national columnist that does this—as far as I know. So, here goes.

I was born and raised in a small town in northern Indiana. My father and mother were dedicated, hardworking Christian people from Arkansas. Dad was a master welder by trade and a member of the Teamsters union. I still have his union pin. More importantly, he was a jailhouse preacher and prison chaplain. The Lord delivered my dad from a terrible life of alcoholism; and the story of his deliverance is nothing short of miraculous.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Readers should know that I will send a CD of my father’s life story—free of charge—to anyone who requests it. If you or someone you know struggles with alcohol or drug addiction, I urge you to obtain a copy of this remarkable story.

I am the husband of one (for 46 years next month), the father of three and the grandfather of ten. I am the pastor of Liberty Fellowship in Kalispell, Montana, which is an independent, unorganized, unincorporated, unaffiliated, non-501c3 fellowship. I am also an author, radio talk show host and writer of this column.

As far as I know, I am in good health. And, somehow, I’ve been able to keep my hair. Not that that means a whole lot. I had a college professor that often quoted this little rhyme:

To every man God is fair.
To some He gave brains.
To others He gave hair.

Of course, the professor was bald. After all of these years, I forgot most of what that professor taught, but I still remember that little poem—maybe because he said it all the time.

I campaigned vigorously for my friend, Congressman Ron Paul, in the 2008 Republican presidential primaries. After it was obvious that he would not be the Republican nominee, Constitution Party (CP) leaders and many Ron Paul supporters strongly encouraged me to seek the CP’s presidential nomination. They believed that someone was needed to keep the liberty message alive in the 2008 general election, because it was clear that neither Barack Obama nor John McCain would do so.

After winning the delegate vote over my friend and former U.N. Ambassador, Alan Keyes, at the CP nominating convention in Kansas City, Missouri, I became the Party’s nominee for President. And I was very honored to have received Ron Paul’s endorsement (along with other congressmen) during that campaign.

Regarding the condition of the Church in America, it is my studied opinion that both the 501c3 tax-exempt status and State nonprofit corporation status have, in effect, castrated America’s pastors and churches to the point that most churches are spiritually impotent and irrelevant to the preservation of liberty in our country. Instead of preaching the liberating Gospel of Christ and the empowering message of Christian non-conformity, they are preaching an enslaving message of bondage to the state via their preoccupation with the misinterpretation of Romans 13.

Speaking of Romans 13, my constitutional attorney son and I co-authored a book on this subject that I encourage everyone to read. The book is entitled Romans 13: The True Meaning Of Submission. This book shows the teaching of the entire Bible (including Romans 13) regarding legitimate—and illegitimate—submission to civil authority.

My personal philosophy regarding socio/political issues is quite simple: I believe abortion is legalized murder. If the blood of murdered Abel cried out to God from the ground, imagine how the blood of over 60 million innocent unborn babies is crying out to God. It is further evident that the Republican Party in Washington, D.C. (including President Donald Trump) cares absolutely nothing about the lives of innocent preborn children. The GOP controlled the entire federal government for Trump’s first two years in office and did absolutely nothing to overturn Roe v Wade. All of the pro-life rhetoric emanating from within the White House and Republican Congress is just so much hot air.

I believe marriage is, by definition, only between a man and a woman. I further believe that the State has absolutely no business sanctioning or licensing marriage. All of the civil court rulings in the country cannot redefine marriage. Our Creator has already done that. The current civil corruption of marriage should serve notice to all pastors, churches and Christian people to divorce their marriage ceremonies from State licensure. I personally will not perform any marriage ceremony under the color of a State license. Happily, Montana is one of only a handful of states that still recognizes marriage without State licensure.

I believe the Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights to be the greatest documents of freedom ever produced by man. I believe the federal government is bound to submit to the limited duties prescribed to it by the U.S. Constitution. The fact that it doesn’t do so is the greatest source of America’s political problems. I believe America’s Founding Fathers, colonial pastors and the patriots of their generation were the greatest champions of liberty to ever live. I regard George Washington as America’s greatest president and believe his Farewell Address to be the greatest political address in U.S. history. If America’s leaders would follow Washington’s Farewell Address, we would not be in the mess we are in today.

I believe Confederate generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson were two of the finest Christian gentlemen America has ever produced, and that the current politically correct assault against their name and character—along with the incessant attacks against the monuments memorializing them—is not only shameful and reprehensible, it is an attempt by big-government fascists to further erase the Jeffersonian principle of State sovereignty (which is what the Confederacy stood for) from the minds and hearts of the American people.

Furthermore, I regard Abraham Lincoln to be America’s absolute WORST president. I regard him as a fascist tyrant and racist who fought a totally unnecessary and horrific war of aggression against the South, which, for all intents and purposes, destroyed constitutional government in America. Virtually every problem we face today regarding Big Government, unconstitutional government, the Warfare State and Police State had its origin in Abraham Lincoln.

I believe in the right of the people to keep and bear arms. I further believe this is a God-ordained duty and should not be subject to State licensure or infringement. The Second Amendment does not grant us the right to keep and bear arms; it merely protects the duty to keep and bear arms that was given to us by our Creator.

Again, my son and I co-authored a book on the Biblical teaching of self-defense and the right to keep and bear arms. The book is entitled To Keep or Not To Keep: Why Christians Should Not Give Up Their Guns. This book looks at the entire body of Scripture and shows that nowhere in God’s Word are believers instructed to surrender their arms—no matter what the laws of civil government might dictate. We show in the book that self-defense is both a Natural right and Biblical duty.

I believe there is a conspiracy of powerful elitists to surrender America’s independence to a globalist New World Order. I believe the Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission and Bilderbergs are especially culpable in this evil subterfuge of our liberties. I had hoped that Donald Trump would honor his word to “drain the swamp” of establishment insiders, but he hasn’t. As with presidents of both major parties before him, Trump has littered his administration with CFR globalists and should he win a second term is on a pace to equal or exceed the number of CFR appointments made by Barack Obama and G.W. Bush. Here is the list, and we keep it updated.

I believe that the national news media purposely keeps the American people in the dark about what is really going on. I believe the media deliberately covered up the truth about 9/11, Waco, Ruby Ridge, TWA Flight 800, the Oklahoma City bombing, the Las Vegas and Parkland school shootings, etc., ad infinitum. Heck, I believe the media covered up what really happened in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963, when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. For all intents and purposes, the national news media is little more than a propaganda ministry for the Warfare/Welfare State in Washington, D.C.

I am also convinced that there is a blatant attempt underway to turn the United States into a police-state-style surveillance society, to which personal freedoms and liberties are being quickly and deliberately sacrificed. Passage of the USA Patriot Act, The Military Commissions Act and the Indefinite Detention clauses of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) are examples of this flagrant betrayal of freedom. And the Democrat and Republican parties in Washington, D.C., are equally culpable in this blatant usurpation of our liberties.

I opposed the preemptive invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan by G.W. Bush, the bombings of Libya, along with the current bombings and drone attacks going on in countries throughout the Middle East—including Trump’s bombing of Syria and his decision to increase the number of U.S. ground forces in foreign countries throughout the world. It should be obvious to everyone that Donald Trump is as committed to the hellacious perpetual war/preemptive war doctrine as were his predecessors George W. Bush and Barack Obama. And it should be equally obvious that Donald Trump is continuing to escalate America’s unconstitutional wars of aggression around the world.

I am personally convinced that ISIS, al-Nusra, etc., are contrivances of Dark (illegal) Operations of America’s CIA, British Intelligence and Israel’s Mossad. Saudi Arabia is also a partner in this nefarious activity. I believe it was the American/British/Israeli/Saudi Arabian “war on terror” that deliberately created the massive illegal immigration invasions taking place in Europe and the United States. I’ll say it flat out: The “war on terror” is the creation of the Deep State in the West to keep America in a state of perpetual war and to keep the people of America in a state of perpetual fear and anger.

Furthermore, I believe the international “war on terror” is a ruse to assist the goals of the central banks to create global government. All of the talk about Afghanistan, Iran and Syria (and now Somalia and Venezuela) being a threat to America is a bunch of hysterical propaganda. Neocons and globalists are using the Muslim people, especially as the proverbial red herring to give the American people an enemy to hate so that they will accept perpetual war abroad and police-state measures here at home.

I opposed the bailouts for Wall Street. I regard the Federal Reserve as a corrupt cabal of international banksters, whose actions are nothing short of criminal. I wholeheartedly support the abolition of the Federal Reserve and a return to sound money.

I believe G.W. Bush and Dick Cheney should be in prison for committing international war crimes against humanity and Hillary Clinton should be in prison for selling access to the Secretary of State’s office to foreign interests and for facilitating (or maybe even directly causing) the death of America’s Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens.

From a theological perspective, I believe the doctrine of the Rapture is being used by too many pastors and Christians as an excuse to not resist the many attacks against our liberties. I further believe that too many pastors and churches have become passive, timid and politically correct and are, therefore, “good for nothing” (Matthew 5:13) when it comes to preserving liberty. I also believe that the teaching of dispensational eschatology (prophetic futurism) is egregious doctrinal error that has spiritually corrupted several generations of Christians and is ultimately responsible for the rise of America’s Warfare State (contributing to the deaths of millions of people around the world) and the spiritual demise of America’s Christian heritage and culture.

And after much study, I have come to the conclusion that the current State of Israel—the one created on May 14, 1948, by the Rothschilds—has nothing to do with the Israel of the Bible, and the assertion it does comprises a prodigious heresy that is doing untold damage to the fundamental Biblical doctrine of Christology—especially Christ’s finished work on the Cross. As I said in this column last week:

Let’s be clear: God is not building a “Greater Israel.” God is not building a third Jewish temple. God is not speaking through phony prophets who are attributing some sort of divine calling to Trump’s pro-Israel warmongering. God is not blessing America because we are blessing Zionist Israel. Just the opposite: The more America aligns itself with Israel’s belligerence, bullying and bombing of innocent people, the more God will deliver us over to becoming an antichrist country. After all, one cannot idolize and partner with antichrists without becoming one himself.

I also believe that The Six Day War was not a war by Arab neighbors against Israel; it was a war by Israel against its Arab neighbors. (See also this report.) In addition, I believe that the Zionist government in Israel continues to illegally occupy the Palestinian territories of the Gaza Strip and West Bank—including the rebuilt Roman city of Aelia Capitolina, a.k.a. “Jerusalem”: an act that should be regarded (and rightly is by most) as a flagrant violation of international law and a heinous war crime against the Palestinian people (many of whom are Christians). I further believe that Israel should be held accountable for its attack against the USS Liberty on June 8, 1967, that resulted in the deaths of 34 American Sailors and Marines.

As for personal membership in groups or organizations, I am a life member of both the Montana Shooting Sports Association (MSSA) and Gun Owners of America (GOA).

When I’m not working, I enjoy big-game hunting—or even small-game hunting—and hiking. I love to hike these beautiful mountains here in Montana. The problem is, I am a workaholic and rarely take time off.

Well, there it is. That is me in a nutshell. At least now you know a little more about who I am and what I believe. If you want to read more, here is where you can find my complete online bio:
