Surprise! Clinton Emails Go “Missing,” FBI Searching for Answers

I’ve got to believe that Hillary Clinton’s criminal activities are getting old for the federal agents forced to “investigate” them, knowing full well that they’ll never actually be allowed to charge her with anything.

The latest affront to the American justice system was made known by the Hill Thursday night, when they reported that two full boxes of Clinton emails had gone “missing.” The Hill learned of the missing emails while reading through the recently released FBI notes on their investigation. According to the notes, a few employees at the Office of Information Programs and Services (IPS) had grown suspicious that Clinton and her lawyers were attempting to cover something up.

“Initially, IPS officials were told there were 14 bankers boxes of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s emails at Clinton’s Friendship Heights office,” the employee told the FBI.

“On or about December 5, 2014, IPS personnel picked up only 12 bankers boxes of Clinton’s emails from Williams & Connolly,” they added, referring to a law firm associated with the Clintons.

The witness also accused senior State Department official Patrick Kennedy of pressuring subordinates to change classified email codes in the interview transcripts.

The source “believed there was interference with the formal [Freedom of Information Act] review process,” the report reads.

The witness also told the FBI that Kennedy, who was Clinton’s undersecretary for management at the State Department, pushed for changes in the FBI’s classification determination in an effort to make it seem as if Clinton had done nothing wrong.

Fox News also notes that many of Clinton’s emails from 2009 (near the start of her term) were missing, indicating that the missing boxes may have contained these early emails.

Ed Morrissey at HotAir adds another interesting, and likely relevant, twist to the story. See, this isn’t the first time that the Clinton’s have “lost” boxes of documents that they were supposed to turn over to the government.

Now why does this sound familiar? More than twenty years ago, during another investigation into potential corruption and wrongdoing in the Whitewater affair, records went missing, too — and stayed that way for two years. At that point, Hillary Clinton’s records of her work at the Rose Law firm mysteriously reappeared in the White House, as the New York Times reported at the time:

After nearly two years of searches and subpoenas, the White House said this evening that it had unexpectedly discovered copies of missing documents from Hillary Rodham Clinton’s law firmthat describe her work for a failing savings and loan association in the 1980’s.”

That’s not the only point of déjà vu in this story, either. The man who handled the printed e-mail records for Hillary is David Kendall, one of the partners at Williams and Connolly. Guess who was handling Hillary’s Rose Law records back in the day?

Yes, once again the man handling the printed records that Hillary Clinton is supposed to be turning over to the government is David Kendall… and once again a large chunk of those records have gone “missing.”

The more we learn about Clinton’s activities, the more disgusting the entire debacle becomes. Not just the fact that Clinton would repeatedly break the law for her own benefit — that should be expected — but the lengths that others will go to to cover up her crimes… it’s stunning. Sadly, the entire episode has likely killed what little trust many Americans had left in our system and in our leaders. If we cannot trust the supposedly “apolitical” FBI to defend our laws, how can we trust the openly political Justice Department to do so?

Obviously, we can’t. The rule of law in America is dead.
