A Tale of 2 News Stories: Exposing the Denial of Islamic Ritual Slaughter in the Mainstream Media

Who, in your considered opinion, is more threatening? A “disgruntled employee” or a “notorious flame-thrower,” a “controversial firebrand blogger” who is behind an “incendiary ad campaign“? Geller is a known hater“…”disgusted by Pamela Geller’s” …right-wing blogger Pamela Geller and her fiercely anti-Islamic group.”

The New York Daily News, one of America’s largest-selling newspapers, refers to Jah’Keem Yisrael, the Oklahoma jihad beheader, as a “disgruntled employee.” It refers to me as all of the above. But it is hardly unique in this. This is typical of every mainstream media report.

Media coverage of the Oklahoma beheading is scant. The little there is about anything but the ideology that compelled the devout Muslim convert and Islamic State supporter, Jah’Keem Yisrael, to hack Colleen Hufford’s head off.

The Daily News article that called the beheader a “disgruntled employee” speaks of Hufford’s compassion. There is no doubt in my mind that Colleen Hufford was a lovely and dear woman. That is hardly the point.

The Daily News report avoids the actual act of war – beheading an infidel in the workplace in America. Instead, it describes the Islamic ritual slaughter this way: “The 54-year-old woman was killed Sept. 25 during the horrific attack, cutting short her 2 1/2 year stint as a customer service representative at the Moore, Okla., food processing center” (emphasis added).

Say what?

Pamela Geller’s commitment to freedom from jihad and Shariah shines forth in her books

The media do not use the beheader’s real name, Jah’Keem Yisrael, but instead refer to him by what his name was before he converted, “Alton Nolen.” This is a pattern in the media. They never to refer to Muslim converts by their Muslim names. Even though that is their name and the one that they use and go by. This is part of the scrubbing of jihad from jihad-related news stories.

There’s no mention is made of his Facebook page, which was all about Islam, citing Quran chapter and verse, showing beheadings and tying those beheadings to the Islamic texts and teachings that encourage and sanction that practice (specifically Chapter 8, Verse 12, which says, “Strike them upon the necks”). Instead, this Daily News report calls him “disgruntled.” They even erroneously report he had been fired. He was not fired, but merely suspended for a couple of days. And they fail to mention what led to the suspension. He got into a heated argument with co-workers, insisting that stoning of women under Islamic law (Shariah) was just and right.

The coverage, or lack thereof, of the gruesome beheading of an infidel woman by a jihadist co-worker in Oklahoma is a jihad of another sort: media jihad. This is a seminal event – a game changer. As shocking as the beheading was in an Oklahoma food processing plant, the lack of comprehensive news coverage and national dialogue is more shocking.

When Lee Rigby was beheaded by a jihadist in broad daylight on a public street in London, Great Britain convulsed in horror. It was, rightly, a top news story widely discussed and analyzed in the United Kingdom for weeks and months.

By contrast, the beheading of Colleen Hufford was given short shrift in the mainstream media (with the exception of Fox News). It took days just to see a photo of Mrs. Hufford (and it was a British newspaper that ran it). The enemedia did their best to ignore the story, the motive and the jihadist, Jah’keem Yisrael.

The breathtaking denial of the Islamic ritual slaughter by a co-worker culminated in President Obama sending an envoy to the mosque Yisrael attended with a special note of thanks and appreciation after it was revealed that the mosque promoted the caliphate, hatred of the United States and hatred of Israel.

Traci Johnson, Jah’Keem Yisrael’s second victim, had her throat slit in his bloody frenzy to behead her as well, but her life was saved when an armed company official stopped Jah’Keem with a bullet. Sadly, Jah’Keem lived, and is recovering in an Oklahoma hospital.

The coup de grace was the one photo that the Daily News ran of Jah’keem Yisrael: It was devoid of Islamic symbolism, when all recent photos show him in the garb of the devout Muslim.

But that is what the mainstream media and the U.S. government don’t want you to see.
