The Constitution Was Devised To Unite The American People, Not Divide Them

No doubt, our forefathers knew best when it came to where it was and to whom they were to go to when it came to where they derived their rights.

They went to the throne of God in doing so and we know this by the flags that were flying (Appeal to Heaven) during the War for Independence.

When you look to what it is that our forefathers had given unto them by from their fathers, we see the Mayflower Compact which “smacks of the pulpit.”

At Sea Cape Cod, Massachusetts November, 1620

“In the name of God, Amen. We, whose names are underwritten, the Loyal Subjects of our dread Sovereign Lord, King James, by the Grace of God, of England, France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, e&.  Having undertaken for the Glory of God, and Advancement of the Christian Faith, and the Honour of our King and Country, a voyage to plant the first colony in the northern parts of Virginia; do by these presents, solemnly and mutually in the Presence of God and one of another, covenant and combine ourselves together into a civil Body Politick, for our better Ordering and Preservation, and Furtherance of the Ends aforesaid; And by Virtue hereof to enact, constitute, and frame, such just and equal Laws, Ordinances, Acts, Constitutions and Offices, from time to time, as shall be thought most meet and convenient for the General good of the Colony; unto which we promise all due submission and obedience.

In Witness whereof we have hereunto subscribed our names at Cape Cod the eleventh of November, in the Reign of our Sovereign Lord, King James of England, France and Ireland, the eighteenth, and of Scotland the fifty-fourth. Anno Domini, 1620.”

Our forefathers articulated America’s seed bed, The Declaration of Independence, to the US Constitution. Look at texts and references of the Lord found in this document,.

  • “Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God”
  • “they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights”
  • We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world
  • “with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence”

And the US Constitution, of course, ending with “the Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven.”

Now, what I want to show you is that we are united under the banner of The Most High God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Every state preamble acknowledges this truth), and when we depart from Him, we have then gone from one nation under God (Pledge of Allegiance), to that of one nation gone under (Psalm 9:17).

What has actually happened is that man gets in there and creates schisms which divides Americans, who then end up with over 101 un-constitutional party affiliations. We are ruled by law as a Constitution Republic (Article IV, Section 4 US Constitution). If Americans do not take heed to this, they then end up with:

“There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution.” ―John Adams

The same ends in denominations within the Church of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:25-27; Ephesians 4:3-6).

Therefore, when we leave the Lord who unites us, we are then divided only to be conquered (Mark 3:25).
