The situation in Europe today, with riots engulfing France, Muslim migrants invading Spain with impunity, and Muslims becoming more emboldened and aggressive all over the continent, vividly illustrates the dangers of admitting tens of thousands of Muslim immigrants from mostly poor, socially backward countries into modern Western societies. If we want to understand why there is a rational basis for what is termed “Islamophobia,” understood as a dislike or suspicion of Islam, we need to pay attention to what is happening there now. For if responsible steps are not taken, we are likely to have the same problems here in the U.S.
The problems of Europe today began in earnest over ten years ago, when German Chancellor Angela Merkel, keen to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Syria and the surrounding regions, opened Germany’s doors to the refugee influx of 2015. Other Western European countries did as well. Yet while there is no doubt that some of the refugees are grateful for the hospitality they have been shown, others clearly aren’t, and that was clear early on in this endeavor. All of the Islamic jihadis who murdered 130 people in Paris in a series of jihad attacks in November 2015 were refugees who had recently been welcomed into Europe. Germany’s domestic intelligence agency admitted in July 2017 that hundreds of jihadis had entered the country among the refugees, and that 24,000 jihadis were active in Germany.
Other problems were apparent early on as well. Muslim migrants in Europe immediately became responsible for an appalling epidemic of rape, sexual assault, theft, petty crime, and looting. On New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2015, Muslim migrants committed as many as 2,000 mass rapes and sexual assaults in Cologne, Stockholm, and other major European cities. Such assaults weren’t limited to that day alone; Sweden has been called the “rape capital of the world” because of the notorious activities of Muslim migrants. Muslim migrants have made Malmö, once a peaceful city, crime-ridden and hazardous.
In Sweden, Muslim migrants from Afghanistan are 79 times more likely to commit rape and other sexual crimes than native Swedes. Migrants and refugees commit 92 percent of rapes in Sweden. Rapists in Sweden come from Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Eritrea, Syria, Gambia, Iran, Palestine, Chile, and Kosovo, in that order; rapists of Swedish background do not exist in sufficient numbers to make the top ten, and all the nations on that list except Chile and Eritrea are majority Muslim.
And in Britain, Muslim gangs brutalized, sexually assaulted, and raped over 250,000 young British girls, while authorities remained extremely reluctant to say or do anything in response, for fear of being labeled “racist.”
Yet even now, hardly anything is being said or done about this. That tendency, too, became apparent early on. In the summer of 2016, Krystyna Pawłowicz, a member of the Polish parliament, charged German authorities with attempting to “cover up the crimes of their Arab guests, or even shift the blame upon themselves.” There was also evidence that migrant crimes were being covered up in the Netherlands and Sweden as well.
These cover-ups apparently proceeded from a fear that non-Muslims would begin to have negative views of Islam. Yet the sexual assaults did have to do with Islam. The Qur’an dictates that a Muslim man may have sexual relations with the “captives of the right hand,” that is, captured non-Muslim women (4:3; 4:24; 23:1-6; 33:50; 70:30). The Qur’an also says that women should veil themselves so that they may not be molested (33:59), with the implication being that if they are not veiled, they may indeed be molested.
American and European liberals who are concerned about “Islamophobia” should consider the implications of that for their own daughters.
The Qur’an provides an Islamic justification for these mass rapes and assaults that has never been discussed in the establishment media, or at any governmental level in any country. Such a discussion could have important implications for how to persuade the migrants to stop behaving in this manner, and how easy it will be to do so, but this discussion cannot be had: it’s “Islamophobic.” Feminists have been completely indifferent, even though what women face in Europe is far more serious than the plight of women in the U.S. today. Fear of being labeled an “Islamophobe” apparently trumps even feminism’s core concerns.
The establishment media has also largely ignored the Muslim migrant crime wave in Europe, with the partial exception of the slightly down-market British tabloids such as the Daily Mail and the Express. And even the Daily Mail has been devastating in its treatment of foes of jihad and Sharia supremacism, reserving particular venom for Dutch politician Geert Wilders, who makes no secret of his dislike for the elements of Islam that contravene universal principles of human rights and has called for an end to the immigrant influx.
The Daily Mail has also been relentlessly unfair to those in England, principally Tommy Robinson, who have dared to criticize Islam. For all its refreshing honesty about the magnitude of the problem, the Daily Mail seems to be too afraid of charges of “Islamophobia” to support those who want to do anything about it.
The international left decries the rise of the nationalist “far right,” but it is their baby. They created it. Had it not been for their tendency to smear any opposition to their migration schemes as racist and neo-Nazi, the concerns of those who see Europe descending into chaos and civil war could have been addressed within the existing system. Instead, the European Union is now in deep crisis, France is burning, and the whole continent could quite conceivably erupt into another war.
All because of “Islamophobia.”
