I have a learned over the years, that if you want to get something done, you’re going to have to do it yourself. No one is going to do it for you. There are so many people out there who complain about the problems that they see today, but for the most part, they are unwilling to really lift a finger to do anything about it. They complain about this, that and the other thing. They rant and rave about the government, Muslim infiltration in America, abortion, homosexuality, but what do they actually do to deal with these problems? Nothing.
There is every excuse under the sun. They say “There’s nothing we can do,” “Jesus is coming back, it’s the end times, these things are just going to happen,” or they are just too busy being caught up in their own lives to care about much else. To me, these kind of people are slackers. They are so happy to revel in the freedoms that someone else bought for them with their blood, but unwilling themselves to preserve that freedom for future generations because of their lack of love and ingratitude.
There are also those who say, “I’m just too busy.” Listen, there is always going to be some excuse for the slack in your life when you are adamantly set on finding one. If you want to talk about busy, I’d like to bring you over to my house for a week! We are constantly doing (even to the point of overkill) to fight against all of the evils we see in our society today. We don’t want to just complain about the problems, but do something about them.
The Bible tells us in James 1:22 to be “…doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
There is no reason to not be busy about the work of the Lord’s hands. There are no people in God’s Kingdom who are slackers, spectators, movable, and cowards. No true child of God possesses these attributes. They do not! We are to be diligent, unmovable, bold, quickened, and ever advancing the Kingdom of our God and of His Christ. The Bible says in Proverbs 28:1 that “…the righteous are bold as a lion.” It doesn’t say that the righteous are weak, easily moved by circumstance, and spineless.
I just saw a quote that said “…nothing moves unless it’s pushed.” How true that is! Your enemies are pushing. Their agendas are being shoved down your throat. Are they meeting any resistance (lawfully) from you? Are you willing to tell your children you were too busy to engage in the battle for them and their children to come? Is that game on TV really important to watch when your own house is on fire?
A wall is easily moved if there are many people to push it down. Think of how many millions of people we have in America (about 320 million people). Think if we emptied all the sports arenas and flooded Washington D.C. with even 1 or 2 million. Do you think the politicians in Washington and the President would have difficulty hearing our voices then?
It’s time to move. It’s time to act. It’s time to quit being a “do nothing” and start “doing something.” The Lord will put on your heart what it is that He wants you to do. There are certainly no areas short of needing help in the battle for the heart and soul of America. You have no excuses. None. If you want to sing that song then, go sing it on a one way trip to Russia, Iraq, or China cause we don’t hum that tune in America.
It’s time to stand up people and it’s time to stand up now!
Remember, as Edmund Burke rightfully said, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
The right time to do the right thing is right now! The future of our nation depends upon you!
