Over the last couple of weeks, I have been searching diligently on the topics of predestination, election, and even free will. I did so per the request of one who is a part of our weekly church service (2 Timothy 2:15).
Though it came at me negatively to suggest that Augustine, John Calvin, Martin Luther, R C Sproul, etc., or any other of the reformers and theologians were the ones responsible for introducing the doctrine, which they did not, I simply took the time to make clear that it was the Holy Ghost, through Paul, that introduced these doctrines (John 7:17), and this in great, scriptural specificity. Of course, the outcome was, and always will be (Men can kick and scream all that they want to), that the Word of God is the Anvil on which the opinions of men are smashed.
