This Video Inside A St. Louis Bar Demonstrates Why Gun Control Laws Limiting Where You Can Carry Are As Stupid As They Are Lawless
While many outlets that carried this story over the weekend focused on the calm patron at the bar, relaxing, drinking and smoking, the first thing that came to my mind was that out of the numbers of patrons and the bartender, not one of them was armed to deal with a criminal armed with a gun who came in to rob the place, and in the process, put everyone’s life in danger.
The video took off on social media and shows an armed, black man enter a St. Louis bar and while everyone is following commands and getting down, putting their hands up, one patron simpy sits at the bar quietly playing on his phone, having a drink and eventually a smoke, never moving and acting as though he isn’t even bothered by the criminal pointing a gun at him.

Surveillance video inside Behrmann’s Tavern in St. Louis captured the terrifying action early Wednesday morning. The armed robber enters the bar and a handful of customers and a bartender get their hands up and/or get down on the ground — but you also see one man continue sipping his can of beer and using his phone.
Obviously, that drew the robber’s attention, but even with the rifle barrel jammed into his side … the defiant beer drinker kept scrolling on his phone! The robber eventually attempted to snatch the phone away and moved on to clear the cash register.
But, you gotta see how Captain Chill reacted — the dude lights up a cigarette and even points and yells at the robber during the heist. His “ready to die” attitude must’ve been contagious because the guy next to him eventually got up off the ground and grabbed a ciggie too!
The good news is the robber never fired a single shot and everyone in the bar survived.
Well, it is good news that no one was hurt. It’s bad news that the robber wasn’t taken out and that these men were all victims of a crime they could have not only stopped, but possibly prevented from ever happening again.
“I said not another punk trying to pull a punk move,” Tony Tovar, the man who sat cool, calm and collected, told KSDK-TV Friday of the incident in Behrmann’s Tavern.
“I’m so tired of people in south city trying to muscle their way in with firearms or bad attitude or some kind of aggression,” he said. “I wasn’t gonna comply.”
“I wasn’t really concerned,” Tovar told the station. “I just had a really good feeling he wasn’t out to harm anybody he just wanted drug money.”
The robber made off with about $300 from the cash register.
Kevin Moore was charged in connection with the heist, the station reported Friday evening. Police said Moore has a rap sheet with convictions for assault, robbery and weapon possession.
Now, many states have laws that even if you have a concealed carry permit, something unnecessary under the Second Amendment, since the right to keep and bear arms is a God-given right, not government-issued permission, you can’t carry your gun in an establishment that serves alcohol and in some states, they “allow” you to do it if you don’t drink.
This is not only a lawless “law,” but the stupidity of it is demonstrated in the above video. The state is abusing and usurping authority and putting people in danger with their tyranny, aiding the criminals in the process.
“Alcohol and guns don’t mix” is what I’ve heard police officers tell me. Well, neither does oil and water, but you don’t make it a crime to put CBD oil in your water.
That is a terrible argument and an emotional one, not a lawful argument. It sounds like a liberal for goodness sakes!
I know many people who can both carry their weapon and not do any harm and partake of adult beverages in public and private.
Let this be a means of waking people up to the tyranny of states that continue to infringe on your God-given rights.
