True Colors: Obama Chief of Staff Says Israeli ‘Occupation’ Must End

On Monday, White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough told attendees at J Street’s annual conference in Washington that the White House isn’t impressed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s efforts to “backtrack” on comments concerning a Palestinian state that he supposedly made last week.

This is interesting, since it has been established that Netanyahu never said he no longer would endorse the possibility of a Palestinian state. That was a story which Ha’aretz, a left-wing Israeli newspaper opposing Netanyahu reported, and which the Obama administration and the American press decided to run with.

Now – even though the story of Netanyahu’s alleged claim has been debunked – the White House is still advancing it.

“We cannot simply pretend that these comments were never made,” McDonough said just hours ago.

“An occupation that has lasted more than 50 years must end,” McDonough later said, reportedly bringing the crowd to its feet.

So despite Obama’s claims, and those of the White House claiming solidarity with Israel, it is evident that these are “just words,” as Obama is fond of saying. Those words are just for those with attention spans so short that they don’t even recognize the follow-up when it shows up, let alone that it is the opposite of what was said.

The truth is that the Obama administration is anti-Netanyahu, anti-Israel, and anti-Semitic.

So why don’t they just admit it?

Oh yeah – because then all of America would see their true colors…
