VA Governor: I’ll Veto 20-Week Abortion Ban Because It’s Damaging To State’s Image

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe announced that he will ban the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which would ban the murder of babies in the womb after 20 weeks because it is damaging for the state’s image.

The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act introduced in the state’s General Assembly targeting a point in time where the baby is said to not feel pain. Frankly, it’s stupid argument. What about using that argument for adults who can’t feel pain? Should we be allowed to kill them too? But I digress.

Instead of governing, McAuliffe is turning into a salesman for the state attempting to get businesses from all over the world to come to Virginia. This is why he says he’ll veto the bill should it come to his desk.

“I can’t sit back and have that sitting out the same time I am traveling the globe recruiting businesses to Virginia,” McAuliffe told the Associated Press. “If there’s something that would be damaging toward business, and to our image around the country and the globe, I’ll veto it, you bet I will.”

Keep in mind that McAuliffe is the same guy who was under investigation by the FBI and Justice Department for corruption. The irony of all of that is simply staggering.

McAuliffe even went so far as to tell the General Assembly, which is led by Republicans, to not “waste time” in attempts to pass the bill. Does he not realize there is ability to override his veto?

“It’s outrageous for a person with any compassion to turn a blind eye while this torture takes place,” said Republican delegate Dave LaRock, the bill’s sponsor.

The Virginia governor also called the measure “socially divisive.” However, isn’t the murder of the unborn socially divisive too? I think it is.

Several states have passed 20-week bans, including South Dakota, Wisconsin and West Virginia. Kentucky has also seen 20-week abortion ban legislation introduced.

A majority of Americans support this kind of legislation and in one poll, nearly 80% of Americans want to see restrictions on abortion.

The real answer is not taking bites at the murder of the unborn, it is full on abolition of the practice of the dismemberment, burning and beheading of the most innocent among us. If you disagree with that, then you are willfully going along with the murder of babies before they are 20 weeks old in the womb and justifying it with pretended law.

We need to be introducing bills like that of Oklahoma Senator Joseph Silk, which is a real pro-life bill that criminalizes abortion as first-degree murder. It passed and then was vetoed by…. A Republican governor, Mary Fallin, a woman that claims to be “pro-life.” She demonstrated in her veto to actually be pro-death.

I wonder if she was in the “pro-life” camp that blasted Donald Trump when he rightly said there should be punishment for a mother who pays a hitman to murder her baby.

McAuliffe is scheduled to go on a recruiting trip over the weekend. Frankly, I hope he fails miserably.
