Not that this should be surprising coming from the biggest importere of Chinese products, but the reality is that Sam Walton had a much better vision for his company than did his kids.  Now, through various local media reports, we are coming to understand that Wal-Mart is not only beginning to limit it’s customer entry into its stores ,but is now being stopped, along with Target stores from the sale of non-essential items in their stores.

WDBJ reports:

Beginning Saturday, Walmart will limit the number of customers allowed in a store at the same time. Stores will allow no more than five customers for each 1,000 square feet at a given time, roughly 20 percent of a store’s capacity.

This is to maintain social distancing and public health during the coronavirus pandemic.

To manage this restriction, according to a company release, the employees at each store will mark a queue at a single-entry door (in most cases the Grocery entrance) and direct arriving customers there, where they will be admitted one-by-one and counted. Associates and signs will remind customers of the importance of social distancing while they’re waiting to enter a store – especially before it opens in the morning.

Once a store reaches its capacity, customers will be admitted inside on a “1-out-1-in” basis.

Walmart will also institute one-way movement through its aisles next week in many stores, using floor markers and direction from employees. According to a release, this is expected to help more customers avoid coming into close contact with others as they shop.

The stores will continue to put signs inside its stores to remind customers of the need to maintain social distancing – especially in lines. And once customers check out, they will be directed to exit through a different door than they entered, designed to help lessen the instances of people closely passing each other.

Then, a report out from NBC affiliate 9News.com:

State officials in Vermont are ordering large retailers that sell critical items such as food and prescription drugs to stop the in-person sale of nonessential products such as clothing and electronics.

The directive, announced Tuesday by Vermont’s Agency of Commerce and Community Development, was addressed at “big box” retailers.

Whenever possible, stores such as Walmart, Target and Costco must stop the sale of nonessential items within the store and require online or telephone ordering, delivery, and curbside pickup instead.

Big box retailers generate significant shopping traffic by virtue of their size and the variety of goods offered.

“This volume of shopping traffic significantly increases the risk of further spread of this dangerous virus to Vermonters and the viability of Vermont’s health care system. We are directing these stores to put public health first and help us reduce the number of shoppers by requiring on-line ordering, delivery and curbside pickup whenever possible, and by stopping the sale of non-essential items,” Agency of Commerce and Community Development Secretary Lindsay Kurrle said in a statement.

The items that cannot be sold in person include, but are not limited to, arts and crafts, beauty supplies, carpet and flooring, clothing, consumer electronics, entertainment, furniture, home and garden, jewelry, paint, photo services, sports equipment and toys.

Stores are ordered to close aisles, close portions of the store or remove items from the shelves.

The agency also said showrooms and garden sections of large home improvement centers should be closed unless there is a life-threatening emergency.

Really?  Where did these “state officials” get the authority to tell retailers what they can and cannot sell or provide?

The answer is they received zero authority and the people, because of their fear, continue to submit themselves to this tyranny rather than rise against it as our forefathers did.

What is it going to take, America, before you realize that the encroaching tyranny that you are seeing that you believe is for your safety and security, is ridding you of your liberty, safety and security… and your children’s?

I have often said in interviews and to friends and family that until people’s stomaches are empty and they feel the weight of the tyranny, they will not act.

So bring on the tryanny and hopefully, the empty stomachs, which have become the gods of the people, will begin to ache enough that they realize what tyrants are doing to them to the point that they stand up and say, “No more!”

May God grant us repentance and courage to resist the tyrants in the united States!
