“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners…” -Romans 5:19
Did you know that in the mid-1900s preachers used to screen movies (Malachi 2:6), and the Motion Picture Production Code banned even the smallest wrongdoing? For instance, words such as “nuts to you,” “dang,” “lousy,” and “jerk,” were not tolerated.
Nowadays, movie theaters place warning signs at the entrances of movies such as “The Passion of the Christ.” Yet, post no warning signs for movies in the same theater complex that promote all sorts of immorality: sex, drugs, violence, cannibalism, you name it (1 John 2:18).
When G-rated films make 11 times more profit at the box office than R-rated films, why does Hollywood push an average of 92.3 million R-rated films per year compared to only 17.9 million G-rated films? One quickly begins to realize that Hollywood is not merely in it to make money, they are a tool that’s used in indoctrinating an entire generation.
Noah Webster warned: “When a citizen gives his suffrage to a man of known immorality he abuses his trust; he sacrifices not only his own interest, but that of his neighbor; he betrays the interest of his country.”
Oh, how this has truly come to pass today (Luke 22:48).
Yet, Americans are supporting them by their financial contributions to every movie they pay to watch, giving them the opportunity to recoup and do it all on another day.
What’s worse, you can even see that many of these celebrities are the real legislators when it comes to many agenda’s that corrupt politicians mean to push on the American people.
Frank Capra, who made the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life,” explains why he left Hollywood in the 1950’s.
This should make you think even better of the film than you already did.
“The winds of change blew through the dream factories of make-believe, tore at its crinoline tatters … The hedonists, the homosexuals, the hemophiliac bleeding hearts, the God-haters, the quick-buck artists who substituted shock for talent, all cried: “Shake ’em! Rattle ’em! God is dead. Long live pleasure! Nudity? Yea! Wife-swapping? Yea! Liberate the world from prudery. Emancipate our films from morality!” … Kill for thrill—shock! Shock! To hell with the good in man, Dredge up his evil—shock! Shock! Practically all the Hollywood film-making of today is stooping to cheap salacious pornography in a crazy bastardization of a great art to compete for the ‘patronage’ of deviates and masturbators.” – Frank Capra, on why he left Hollywood in the 1950’s, in his 1971 autobiography Name Above the Title.
I end with what Cecil B. DeMille (Producer, Director, and Narrator of “The Ten Commandments”) said, “We cannot break the Ten Commandments. We can only break ourselves against them—or else, by keeping them, rise through them to the fullness of freedom under God. God means us to be free. With divine daring, He gave us the power of choice. God means us to be free (2 Corinthians 3:17). With divine daring, he gave us the power of choice.”
Jesus said that it is better for us to fall on the rock than for the rock to fall upon us (Matthew 21:44).
He also said that we are to “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Matthew 7:13-15).
Our free will, as we hear so much about today, consists of choices that we make, and here they are: Heaven or Hell, there is no other (Deuteronomy 30:19).
Therefore, our country will go in the same direction with the choices that we choose to make and who it is that we allow to lead, and Hollywood’s minions should not be among them.
