White House Budget Director: Trump is Done Negotiating on RINOCare

White House Budget Director Mick Mulvaney told CNBC on Friday that President Donald Trump is through with negotiations and wants a vote on the House’s Obamacare 2.0 bill, the American Health Care Act.

Trump, who positioned himself as a negotiator who could “get things done” in Washington is facing his first real negotiations and, according to his budget director, he is no longer going to negotiate.

“He’s tired of the drawn out negotiations,” said Mulvaney.  “He’s tired of folks always coming up with better ideas, and nitpicking the bill as it is.”

Nitpicking the bill?  He’s tired of it?  Come on!  This bill needs to be constitutional!  It was supposed to be a full repeal of Obamacare.  That’s what he and Republicans promised.  It’s nothing of the sort!

“This is not a politician,” he added.  “This is a businessman. And he thinks the time has come to a vote.”

Frankly we don’t want him to be a politician, but we do want him to be a constitutional president.  After all, he campaigned.  He asked for people’s vote.  He took the oath to uphold and defend the Constitution and this bill violates that oath again and again.

Mulvaney said he was not sure that the House had the votes it needed to pass the bill.

Part of the problem here is that Trump only has one offer on the table, and that’s all establishment House Republicans are putting out.  They are not even close to a bill like that of Senator Rand Paul, which opens up the free market.  It needs a few tweaks, but is far closer to being constitutional and much less socialistic.

Mulvaney said that Trump is also ready to let Obamacare stand, despite his promises to the contrary, if the bill fails in the House because he has more legislative priorities like tax cuts to deal with.

“He has other things he wants to do,” Mulvaney said.  “Impatient is not the right word. Busy would be the right way to describe this president.  He doesn’t want to spend the time for the next two, four, six, eight months, whatever it would take. That’s what it would take if you let the House go about its own business.”

I must point out that all legislative power is invested in Congress, not the Executive Branch.  Because he is a businessman and does not understand the Constitution he swore to uphold and defend, the bill he is pushing is against that Constitution, which is why several members of the Freedom Caucus are opposed to it.  Some opposed it for other reasons.

Sadly, President Trump took to Twitter to push the socialistic RINOCare, aka Obamacare 2.0.

He then took a shot at the Freedom Caucus over one portion of the bill, the reduction in funds to Planned Parenthood.

Well, first, let’s just stop and think about that.  Trump wanted to keep funding Planned Parenthood if they just gave up abortions, but they turned him down.  By making such an offer, Trump was offering them what is unconstitutional.  There is nothing in our Constitution that allows the central government to fund organizations such as the murder mills of Planned Parenthood.

As for allowing Planned Parenthood to continue if they stop the plan is ridiculous.  According to Claire Cretien at Life Site News:

House Republicans released a draft of an Obamacare replacement bill last night that would eliminate most of Planned Parenthood’s federal funding. It would also prevent federal funding of abortions through this new healthcare system.

However, a 1995 precedent may allow strict Senate rules to remove the funding restrictions on abortion.

Obamacare subsidized abortion; this bill gets rid of subsidies. Instead, it provides people with monthly healthcare tax credits. The bill contains provisions that prevent these tax credits from being used to fund abortion, but pro-life groups are worried the Senate may remove these.

“House Republicans must ensure that the Obamacare ‘replace’ bill’s funding protections for the right to life of unborn babies must not be left up to chance or turned into a political bargaining chip,” Family Research Council’s David Christensen wrote in an email to supporters. “FRC – along with other pro-lifers – is very concerned that strict Senate budget rules could strip out any provisions stopping funding for elective abortion in healthcare ‘replace’ programs such as universal tax credits and other subsidies for healthcare.”

Members of Congress must be urged “not to leave pro-life funding protections up to chance,” Christensen wrote.

So, most, but not all Planned Parenthood funding would be removed.  Why not all?  It’s unconstitutional to fund them in the first place!  Second, I must ask where President Trump will stand when it comes to signing the budget that funds Planned Parenthood.  Will he continue to fund it with the stroke of his pen, or will he reject it in accordance with his oath of office?  What about other unconstitutional spending such as continuing to fund the entirety of Obamacare, something he says with his own mouth is a disaster?

You see, this is not about the Freedom Caucus.  It’s not even really about Donald Trump.  This is about whether or not the united States continues to push socialized medicine on its citizens, accept big government “solutions” rather than constitutional ones, and keep the free market closed or open it up so consumers and businesses can benefit.

While President Trump may be a good business man, he is not demonstrating that he understands the Constitution concerning this healthcare bill.
