Who Was Joab Trout?

Joab Trout was a preacher and was 25-years-old when he gave a speech before the Continental Army led by George Washington.  After his speech, the next morning, the men would fight the battle of Brandywine Creek in 1777.

However, they lost the battle, but walked away with 2 victories.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Joab Trout proved by his actions (James 2:14-26) that he would stand up to the British, and that he would fight for freedom (1 Timothy 6:12; 2 Corinthians 3:17).

He was a part of the Black Robe Regiment and was a great preacher who died in 1777 at Brandy Wine Creek.

George Washington even asked Joab Trout to give a speech for the Continental Army.

Not only was he a great preacher, but Joab Trout filled his conversation with talk about Jesus (John 14:6).

Joab Trout was also a fighter for liberty.

He was a good man and never gave up liberty without a fight!
