Why Are We Not Hearing About The Wall Any Longer? Are You Ready For This? Broken Wall, Broken Promises

“I’ve completed more promises than I’ve made.” — President Trump, during a campaign rally in Toledo, Jan. 9, 2020

We all remember the ever-changing promises made to the American people on the presidential campaign trail concerning the wall from Donald Trump (John 8:44).

Do you remember on the campaign trail that Donald Trump was going to have Mexico fund the border wall, and that it would cost $4 billion dollars, and that it was going to be so easy to get the job done?

Donald Trump, like any other politician in Washington, is simply telling the sheeple what it is that they want to hear (2 Timothy 4:3).  He is a narcissistic, pathological liar to say the least.

The Ever Changing Promises About The Wall – Now You’re Paying For It!

According to Wikipedia, the Trump wall, commonly referred to as “the wall,” is a colloquial name for a proposed expansion of the Mexico–United States barrier during the U.S. presidency of Donald Trump.

Throughout his 2016 presidential campaign, Trump called for the construction of a much larger border wall, claiming that if elected, he would “build the wall and make Mexico pay for it.”

At the time, President of Mexico Enrique Peña Nieto said that his country would not pay for the wall.

In January 2017, Trump signed Executive Order 13767, which formally directed the U.S. government to begin attempting wall construction along the U.S.–Mexico border using existing federal funding (Which means Americans are paying for the wall); actual construction did not begin at this time due to the significant expense and lack of clarity on how it would be funded.

Beginning December 22, 2018, the federal government was partly shut down for 35 days because of Trump’s insistence that he would veto any spending bill that did not include $5.7 billion in border wall funding.

In February 2019, Trump signed a declaration of National Emergency, saying that the situation at the border is a crisis requiring money allocated for other purposes to be used to build the wall. Congress passed a joint resolution to overturn the emergency order, but Trump vetoed the resolution.

In July 2019, the Supreme Court approved the reallocation of $2.5 billion in Department of Defense anti-drug funding to construct the wall while other legal proceedings continue; in September 2019, an additional $3.6 billion was diverted, this time from U.S. military construction projects around the world, including schools for children of American soldiers.

In September 2019, Trump said he planned to build 450–500 miles of new wall by the end of 2020. However, as of November 2019, while at least 76 miles of existing wall had been replaced or reinforced during Trump’s presidency, no new wall had yet been completed.

On December 10, a federal judge in Texas blocked the use of military funds for building the wall, but ten days later, Trump signed a spending bill with about $1.4 billion allotted for it. On January 8, 2020, a federal appeals court granted a stay of the Texas judge’s order, freeing the $3.6 billion for the wall.

On February 13, the Pentagon notified Congress that it would divert $3.8 billion from funding for the military’s anti-drug activities and the war on terror to building the wall.

On December 17, 2019, acting Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection Mark Morgan stated that 93 miles of barriers has been built during the Trump administration; according to CBP figures, at least 90 miles of that replaced existing structures.

A private organization called We Build the Wall has constructed 0.5 miles (0.80 km) of new wall on private property near El Paso, Texas, with Trump’s encouragement.

ProPublica reported on July 2, 2020:

Trump supporters funded a private border wall on the banks of the Rio Grande, helping the builder secure $1.7 billion in federal contracts. Now the “Lamborghini” of border walls is in danger of falling into the river if nothing is done, experts say.

Tommy Fisher billed his new privately funded border wall as the future of deterrence, a quick-to-build steel fortress that spans 3 miles in one of the busiest Border Patrol sectors.

Unlike a generation of wall builders before him, he said he figured out how to build a structure directly on the banks of the Rio Grande, a risky but potentially game-changing step when it came to the nation’s border wall system.

Fisher has leveraged his self-described “Lamborghini” of walls to win more than $1.7 billion worth of federal contracts in Arizona.

But his showcase piece is showing signs of runoff erosion and, if it’s not fixed, could be in danger of falling into the Rio Grande, according to engineers and hydrologists who reviewed photos of the wall for ProPublica and The Texas Tribune. It never should have been built so close to the river, they say.

Just months after going up, they said, photos reveal a series of gashes and gullies at various points along the structure where rainwater runoff has scoured the sandy loam beneath the foundation.

“When the river rises, it will likely attack those areas where the foundation is exposed, further weakening support of the fence and potentially causing portions … to fall into the Rio Grande,” said Alex Mayer, a civil engineer professor at the University of Texas at El Paso who has done research in the Rio Grande basin.

So, with all of the hype, with all of the concern of this wall which was promised, I ask, where is it (Malachi 1:4)?

If there are border issues with illegals flooding into America, which I believe that there is, then why is this not taking precedence?

Consider Americans being frisked at the airports, while our borders are wide open. Illegals are allured into America by our said representatives, no applications required or proof of citizenship when receiving unconstitutional welfare or driver’s licenses in some states (Deuteronomy 28:43).

What is it that they know that they do not want us to know? It is not about a wall, it is about deceiving people into believing that this administration actually cares about America’s safety just like the preceding administrations. After all, ever since September 11, 2001, Americans have been the end aim of the corrupt agencies that have been created. Wake-up (Leviticus 26:30-31)!
