Why Were US Mercenaries Sent In To Murder The President Of Haiti In His Own Home?

Why has the mainstream media in the United States been so reluctant to give us the full picture of what has been happening in Haiti?  Over and over again, Haitian officials have been using the term “mercenaries” to describe those that were involved in the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse, but U.S. news outlets have been largely avoiding that angle of the story.  Needless to say, if the killers were actually “mercenaries”, that would mean that someone paid them to do what they did.  And at this point, it appears that at least two of the “mercenaries” were Americans

Two men believed to be Haitian Americans — one of them purportedly a former bodyguard at the Canadian Embassy in Port au Prince — have been arrested in connection with the assassination of Haiti’s president, a senior Haitian official said Thursday.

As I write this article, Haitian officials have only released the identify of one of them.  His name is James Solages, and he had been serving with a charity that is “focused on ending childhood hunger in Haiti”

James Solages, a US citizen of Haitian descent and president of a local charity, was taken into custody over Wednesday’s early morning raid on Moïse’s mansion in the hills above Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Haiti’s Minister of Elections and Inter-party Relations Mathias Pierre told the Associated Press.

Solages is the 35-year-old president of the board of directors of Jacmel First, a charity founded in south Florida in 2019 which is focused on ending childhood hunger in Haiti.

The fact that he was with a charity is a huge red flag for me.

It is well known that many major charities are absolutely teeming with intelligence assets.  Being part of a charitable organization is a good cover story, and it can also get you access to key government officials.

In addition to his “charitable work”, it also turns out that Solages also worked as “the chief commander of bodyguards” for the Canadian embassy

According to his charity’s bio page, Solages previously worked as the chief commander of bodyguards for The Canadian embassy in Haiti and is a building engineer specializing in infrastructure development.

Currently, he works as a corporate executive serving as a consultant in different locations throughout South Florida and also serves as a politician ‘promoting his country by focusing on compassion programs and counseling economic development program’, his bio reads.

To me, it sounds as though it is likely that he had some military training somewhere along the way.

Hopefully we will find out more as this story develops.

In addition to the two Americans that have been arrested, four other suspects have been captured, and four others have been killed.

But the manhunt is not done yet.  Haitian officials are telling us that “at least two other suspects” are still on the run…

The two US citizens are among six now captured alive by Haitian authorities, after police said Thursday they had detained four more suspected members of the hit squad responsible for assassinating Moïse and leaving his wife seriously wounded.

Four other suspects were shot dead by police during a gunfight, said Pierre, while a nationwide manhunt is still ongoing for at least two other suspects still at large.

So this is definitely not a “lone wolf” scenario.

In fact, it appears that there were at least 12 individuals involved.

A team of trained killers carefully planned this attack in advance, and the fact that Haitian officials keep using the term “mercenaries” is definitely alarming

“The pursuit of the mercenaries continues,” said Léon Charles, director of Haiti’s National Police, in announcing the arrest of suspects. “Their fate is fixed: They will fall in the fighting or will be arrested.”

Haiti normally doesn’t make much news on the global stage.

In 2021, pretty much the only major news out of Haiti has been the fact that their vaccination program hasn’t really gotten off the ground yet.  The following comes from Bloomberg

Haiti, the poorest nation in the Western hemisphere, has earned another grim distinction: it’s the only one that hasn’t vaccinated a single resident against Covid-19.

One of a handful of nations worldwide still awaiting vaccines, Haiti was among the 92 poor and middle-income countries offered doses under the Covax Facility. But the government initially declined AstraZeneca PLC shots, citing side effects and widespread fears in the population.

Of course there is always political turmoil in Haiti, and the Biden administration “had previously called for an election to be held in the Caribbean country by the end of 2021.”

Following the assassination, White House press secretary Jen Psaki once again reiterated that call for a new election

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Thursday the US was continuing to call for an election this year saying it is ‘in the interest of the people of Haiti.’

‘We called for an election this year, or we’re continuing to call for one, because we feel that supporting democratic institutions, the democratic process, is something that would be in the interest of the people of Haiti,’ she told reporters at the White House.

Well, now that the president of Haiti is dead, there will definitely be one.

But it is odd that this is what the Biden administration is choosing to focus on.

Instead of talking about a new election, you would think that the Biden administration would want to find out who sent the killers.

And if I was in the White House, I would be determined to find out why at least two U.S. mercenaries were involved.

Something about this story really stinks, and hopefully we will get the truth at some point.

Sadly, this story will soon get pushed out of the news cycle and most people will eventually forget about it.

That is unfortunate, because I believe that this story is quite important.

Someone wanted the president of Haiti killed for a reason, and Jovenel Moïse is now permanently out of the way.
