How many injustices are there in America today? Politicians bombard Americans with flamboyant speeches about social injustice, racial injustice, gender injustice, and marriage injustice to name a few. In fact, it has become a trademark of Democrats, liberals, RINOs and neo-conservatives. While wanting to appear different and able to attract a broad voter base, Sen. Bernie Sanders opted to focus on “economic injustice.”
Speaking at Liberty University on Monday, Democratic party 2016 presidential nominee hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders attempted to make headway in gaining support among conservatives by telling “students at the Christian-based college that they should be able to find common ground on his economic justice agenda.” A portion of Sanders’ speech can be viewed at the link.
Sen. Bernie Sanders claims to be an avid socialist. Yet, students attending a Christian college applauded Sanders when he made points clearly identifying solutions as socialist in nature.
Sanders stated, “It would, I think, be hard for anyone in this room to make the case that the United States today is a just society or anything close to a just society. In America today, there is massive injustice in terms of income and wealth inequality. Injustice is rampant.”
In a “just” society, laws apply to the people equally. Government upholds and protects individual God given rights. Everyone retains the right to due process and government protects that right from violation. In a “just” society, individuals possess domain over their property without interference from government. They enjoy free speech, the right to bear arms without infringement, safety in their persons, houses, and affects from unreasonable searches and seizures. In a “just” society, the government does not take away what an individual has earned and give it to someone else. In other words, in a “just” society, citizens recognize all men are created equal; they are endowed by God with certain unalienable rights, that among them are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness; men institute governments to protect those rights.
As the united States stands today, our nation is not a “just” nation nor does its citizenry make up a “just” society. Too many in this nation support policies against our laws, against our Constitution and against the laws of God. Washington, DC is filled with politicians who support violating God given individual rights, make legislation to do exactly that and continue to support further infringements upon citizens’ rights in violation of the Constitution. This is unlawful, unjust and unrighteous. Too many in this nation support these traitors in violating the rights of others in order to enrich themselves off someone else’s hard work. Congress is no better as they have enriched themselves off the hard work of this nation’s citizenry. Government supports applying the laws to some and not others based on disparaging factors such as wealth, race, religion, cronyism, sexual orientation, nationality and creed.
Sanders claimed the united States was the wealthiest nation in the history of the world. He stated most Americans don’t know this because “almost all of that wealth and income is going to the top one percent.”
And when we talk about morality and when we talk about justice, we have to, in my view, understand that there is no justice when so few have so much and so many have so little.
It’s the same old, same old, socialist stance — the minority wealthy are taking away from the rest of the people and it isn’t fair. Sanders calls it injustice when others work hard, make sound decisions, and take risks to become wealthy. He believes it unjustified for individuals who have taken risks and worked hard to keep the fruits of their labors. What is very disturbing is a room full of college students at a Christian based university would applaud a stance clearly against the law of God; Thou shalt not steal. The government solution for this “wealth inequality injustice” is wealth redistribution — taking money away from those who earn it and give it to those who did not.
Mr. Sanders told the students that he applauds the university’s goals of trying to “understand the meaning of morality and the words of the Bible within the context of a very complicated modern world.
He describes his political vision as one that is based on religious principles.
“I am far, far from a perfect human being, but I am motivated by a vision which exists in all of the great religions — Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, and others — and which is so beautifully and clearly stated in Matthew 7:12: ‘So, in everything, do to others what you would have them to do to you, for this sums up the Law and the prophets,'” he said. “The Golden Rule. Do to others what you would have them do to you. Not very complicated.”
It’s quite obvious Sanders is not a Christian. While claiming to be Jewish, this man adopts principles that violate the Laws of God handed down to Moses, meaning he is lying by saying his “vision” is based on religious principles. His “vision” is based on Saul Alinsky.
The Bible, the Word of God, is, as it has always been, timeless — pertinent then, pertinent now and forever into the future regardless of how “modernized” the world becomes with technology, radicalized ideology or “backsliding” against God’s laws. Actually, life becomes simpler, easier and more peaceful when following Christ, His teachings and God’s eternal laws because things become clear.
Sanders calls upon the “Golden Rule” stating its presence “in all of the great religions.” The verse Matthew 7:12, part of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount reads, “Therefore all things ‘whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for ‘this is the law and the prophets.” Judaism does not accept, on the whole, Jesus as the Son of God; therefore, does not subscribe to His teachings in the New Testament. Islam claims Jesus as a prophet only, despite Jesus confirming He is the Son of God to Peter (Matthew 16: 15-20); therefore, Islam does not subscribe to the Laws of God nor the teachings of Jesus — only the rantings of the pedophile, misogynist, murdering, antiSemite, mentally disturbed Muhammed, may camel dung be flung upon him. Buddhism contains no creator or one sovereign loving God; therefore, there would not be a Son of God to impart the teaching of the “Golden Rule” found in Matthew 7:12. Buddhism is based in karma — the law of karma, but no lawgiver.
Sanders’ socialist stance of “thieving from workers to give to non-workers” or “robbing the rich to give to the poor” is the exact opposite of his claim to follow the “Golden Rule.” Anyone who claims they want the government to “rob” from them to “give” to someone else is delusion and suffering from some form of cognitive dissonance. Government taking from one to give to another is legalized theft. God commands, “Thou shalt not steal.”
Jesus commanded us to do charity. It is a commandment to the individual to do good works in the sight of God. There was no mandate for anyone or government to force someone to give up what they earned or have to someone else.
While Sanders touts the “Golden Rule,” claiming to embrace it while being a socialist, he neglects to inform the attendees that the “bureaucrats” in socialism do not relinquish their wealth to those without it. Wealth redistribution doesn’t apply to “rulers.” Only two classes exist in socialism — the wealthy and the poor. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. The only equality present in socialism is the equality of misery among the poor.
How many currently serving in Congress are delinquent on their income taxes? How many in Congress or among the “protected class” (think Al Sharpton, Louis Farrkhan and the like) are brought to justice under the law for their violations of it? Sanders is a hypocrite engaging in “bearing false witness.”
Christians would do well to remember, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits; Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistle: Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bringeth forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bringeth forth good fruit.” (Matthew 7: 15-18)
If Sanders truly ascribed to the “Golden Rule,” he would not be promoting socialist tactics ascribed by Saul Alinsky. Regardless of what Sanders promotes, the sad state of affairs is watching college students attending a Christian university applauding a man who touts scripture while promoting violations of God’s laws. It’s watching so-called Christians stand by in silence, some even applauding, while a heretic declares the teachings of Christ are present in the “world’s great religions” that tears at the heart of the followers of Christ. For only in Christianity does the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:12 appear.
