“For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer. And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.” -Psalm 109:4-5
Considering much of those who are called Christians today in America, which are just the opposite (1 John 2:4), these hypocritical, biblical illiterates that are continuously responsible for persecuting and crucifying the genuine are alive and well today.
“Remember the word that I said unto you, the servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.” -John 15:20
Remember, Jesus said to His disciples, “Ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake” (Luke 21:17).
I bring this up today because of the foolishness of the biblical illiterates that know not the difference when attacking me for preaching God’s Word to them by saying such things as “You are preaching hate” (John 7:7, 15:17-19) or such things as “It is the way that you say it.”
The Lord said in Jeremiah 23:9: “Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?”
In Proverbs 28:1 it tells us, “the righteous are bold as a lion.” Bold is defined as “forward to danger.”
But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ? -John 7:26
How could it be otherwise considering that Jesus is “The Lion of The tribe of Judah?” (Revelation 5:5)
Scripture tells us:
For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. -Matthew 7:29
Remember, in John 2:15-17: “And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables;
And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise. And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.”
After-all Jesus knew that they did not have real love within themselves, He said to the religious hypocrites “But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.”
In Matthew 23, Jesus took the time to rebuke the religious hypocrites for 39 verses.
In conclusion, there are also verses for those who do not want to listen to the warnings. Somehow or another, these same hypocrites think that it is hate to warn them to flee from the wrath to come (Matthew 3:7) and love to overlook their impending dangers.
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. -Luke 13:34-35
Again, the message that Jesus demanded His servants to preach was and is: “Repent for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand! Matthew 3:2
