Utterly shocking information has come to light this week which is entirely absent from the American mainstream media. The only outlet willing to report on the newly released information is Sky News Australia. On Sunday, Sky News reported on a “chilling” leaked document produced by Chinese military scientists, in which they discussed weaponizing SARS coronaviruses — five years before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
The Chinese language paper titled ‘The Unnatural Origin of SARS and New Species of Man-Made Viruses as Genetic Bioweapons’ suggested that World War III would be fought with biological weapons.
In 2015, according to the report, the Chinese military was considering and predicted elements of a scenario that is currently playing out right now across the globe. The report discussed overwhelming hospital infrastructure, as well as many other factors which can be empirically observed.
The documents describe SARS coronaviruses as heralding a “new era of genetic weapons” and said they can be “artificially manipulated into an emerging human – disease virus, then weaponized and unleashed in a way never seen before.”
The document states that (emphasis added) “large-scale biological weapon attacks can cause many indirect consequences in addition to human casualties. Major impacts include enormous burden on healthcare system. Biological weapon attacks have a much-prolonged effect than conventional attacks like explosion, it may also carry highly contagious diseases that can be transmitted through various means.
“Biological weapons will not only cause widespread morbidity and mass casualties, but also induce formidable psychological pressure that could affect combat effectiveness. Just like other disasters, people will live under fear of attack for a considerable period of time after an attack, causing a brief or lapse psychological impairment among some. In other words, attacks using biological weapons can cause acute and chronic psychological and mental illnesses, such as acute stress reactions.”
Sound familiar?
“The documents obtained by US investigators indicate, presumably at the direction of President Xi, a complete lack of regulation in China’s laboratories, and that the infamous Wuhan Institute of Virology has been collecting numerous coronaviruses from bats ever since the SARS outbreak in 2002,” Sky News reports.
To be clear, this is not the same “anti-China” rhetoric pushed by the right. This document has alarming implications far outside of the left/right paradigm.
As Sky News Australia’s Sharri Markson reported, “The document also talks about the psychological terror that bioweapons can cause, it’s chilling.”
Markson was clear to point out that this does not suggest the virus was leaked from the Wuhan lab, as multiple reports discussed over the last 14 months. However, this report does go into grave detail about situations the world is currently experiencing thanks to COVID-19.
“To be clear … while intelligence agencies suspect, and they’ve been investigating this since early last year, that COVID-19 may be the result of an accidental leak from a Wuhan lab, there is no suggestion it was an intentional release,” Markson said.
“The significance of this paper is that it offers a rare insight into how senior scientists at one of the PLA’s most prominent military universities, where high levels of defense research were conducted, were thinking about biological research.”
Peter Jennings, the executive director of the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI), told Sky News the document is as close to a “smoking gun” as we’ve got.
“I think this is significant because it clearly shows that Chinese scientists were thinking about military application for different strains of the coronavirus and thinking about how it could be deployed,” Jennings said.
“It begins to firm up the possibility that what we have here is the accidental release of a pathogen for military use,” Jennings added.
He also said that the document may explain why China has been so reluctant for outside investigations into the origins of COVID-19.
“If this was a case of transmission from a wet market it would be in China’s interest to cooperate … we’ve had the opposite of that.”
Robert Potter, a cyber security specialist who analyzes leaked Chinese government documents, was asked by The Australian to verify the paper and according to him, it is genuine.
“We reached a high confidence conclusion that it was genuine … It’s not fake but it’s up to someone else to interpret how serious it is,” Potter said, going on to point out that the Chinese military may now seek to hide it.
“It emerged in the last few years … they (China) will almost certainly try to remove it now it’s been covered.”
Below is that report.
