“So, Jesse, you believe religion and politics do not mix, and after watching a CNN interview you called yourself an agnostic atheist. WHAT!?”
After having lunch with a CEO friend of mine, I was asked what kind of guests I would like to have on the Sons of Liberty radio. I said that I am really not an interviewer but if I was I would have people that are not the run of the mill, people of character, people to which I can put real questions, people that are lost and need the Christ. “Nobody is doing that,” I said (Proverbs 14:25).
I instantly thought of Governor Jesse Ventura. Everybody attacks him and I don’t know why they do. That night, I watched a couple interviews of him and instantly understood this guy. People listen to statements that he makes but do not see the point that he makes in the end. I also know that he calls himself an atheist (Proverbs 14:1). My friend said that he had his contact information. We called him and Friday he joined us for 45 minutes. Enjoy.
In the end, it was one of the best interviews I have done in 17 years of radio.
