CCP Lackey Tim Walz: “The Electoral College Needs To Go”

The Democrat party is systematically dismantling every unique, magnificent American institution in order to destroy the country. The Electoral College is in the very DNA of American governance.  If it was not for the brilliant concept of the Electoral College, every Presidential election would be decided by only three or four urban areas.  Unlimited majority rule is an instance of the principle of tyranny.

Democrats are blowing up the foundations of the once great Constitutional Republic.

–Ban the Electoral College
–Give millions upon millions of illegals the vote
–Take federal control of U.S. elections
–Pack the SCOTUS with four new justices

The Electoral College was designed specifically to prevent the tyranny of big states over small states,  which affords all states, large and small, equal representation.

“If we did away with the Electoral College in favor of the national popular vote, the election would still be decided in a handful of states — populous states such as California and New York. Even though both of those states are deep blue, the GOP candidate would still fish in their waters, because swinging 1 or 2 percent into the red column would be worth more than swinging 1 to 2 percent in a smaller state. Voters in small states, such as Connecticut, would be permanently and completely disenfranchised.

Moreover, candidates would campaign in big media markets (which, of course, are in big states) in order to reach as many potential voters as efficiently as possible. This would favor media personalities and celluloid campaigns. Candidates would never have to meet voters one-on-one, as they do currently in small swing states.” (The Hill)

Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz said on Tuesday that the “Electoral College needs to go,” forcing the Kamala Harris campaign to release a statement saying it does not support abolishing the Constitutional mechanism for presidential elections. At two campaign fundraisers on the West Coast, Walz called for abolishing the Electoral College, arguing that it forces candidates to focus too much attention on a handful of battleground states. “I think all of us know, the Electoral College needs to go. We need a national popular vote,” Walz told donors at California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s home in Sacramento (Daily Wire).

Charlie Kirk: Tim Walz calls for eliminating the Electoral College while fundraising at Gavin Newsom’s Sacramento private residence. Add it to the list: Packing the Supreme Court, Adding Puerto Rico and DC as states, Shredding the Freedom of Speech, Destroying 2A with “mandatory” gun confiscation, Eliminating the benefits of US citizenship, Abolishing the Senate filibuster. And more… The party of “protecting democracy” despises America’s constitutional republic (X).

Choosing the President by NPV (National Popular Vote) would be unconstitutional per Article II of the Constitution, for at least the following reasons.

  1. “Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof” their electors. The “Legislature thereof” would be the current legislature during the year of the Presidential election, not the legislature that voted NPV into law, would it not ?\n\n
  2. No elector can be a “Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States”. Why would the Constitution be so particular about that requirement if how an elector voted were to be determined according to a nationwide popular vote. In that case, what would be the point of having any electors at all ?\n\n
  3. The Constitution says nothing about a popular vote concerning who would become President and Vice President. In fact, there doesn’t even have to be a popular vote. And if there were, what would be the point of electoral votes being transmitted sealed to “the Seat of the Government of the United States” to be counted there if all that were necessary to elect a president would be to count a popular vote?
