Muslim Cleric Affirms: Kill Those Who Insult Muhammad

The thing no Muslims believe turns out to be something many of them believe — again.

Another Muslim cleric has acted upon Islamic beliefs that Islamic apologists and their leftist allies in the West constantly assure us that few, if any, Muslims actually believe. Western Islamic apologists and their leftist friends couldn’t possibly be lying to us, could they?

Sahara Reporters reported on August 12 that an imam, Masud Abdullah, has been arrested for incendiary remarks he made during a sermon at a mosque in Ntensere, in the AtwimaNwabiagya North District of Ghanas Ashanti Region. It seems that Masud Abdullah “advocated violence against people who insult or speak ill of Prophet Muhammad.

Numerous Islamic spokesmen have told us that only “Islamophobes” would dare suggest that Islam advocates violence against those who insult or criticize Muhammad. Back in 2012, an Egyptian court sentenced eight people in absentia to death for blasphemy, including an American, Florida pastor Terry Jones. Nihad Awad of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) declared: “We repudiate this un-Islamic attempt to impose the death sentence for blasphemy, a sentence that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself never imposed, despite being attacked both rhetorically and physically.

Awad added: “We ask civil and religious authorities in Egypt to honor the legacy of the Prophet by following his example and rejecting these death sentences. To do otherwise violates Islamic principles and offers support to those — like the extremists who produced this despicable film — who seek to defame Islam and Muslims.” The “despicable film” was The Innocence of Muslims, which depicted Muhammad’s life as Islamic tradition depicts it.

Nonetheless, Masud Abdullah was arrested after having been “seen in the circulating video making a series of statements in which he justified the killing of anyone who insults Prophet Muhammad. In the video, he said anyone who insulted the Prophet was deliberately trying to provoke Muslims and suggested that killing such a person would not constitute wrongdoing.

Abdullah said: “Anyone who insults the Prophet Muhammad… he is trying to provoke us… Therefore, wallahi, if you kill him, you havent done anything wrong. Wallahi tallahi, if you kill him, you will even go to Aljanah. I am saying, wallahi tallahi, if you kill him, you will go to Aljanah, and I wont even waste my breath to discuss it.” “Wallahi” means “I swear to Allah.” “Ajanah” is paradise.

Abdullah added: “Whoever kills him… I say, anyone who insults the Prophet Muhammad… Islam says, according to Gods law, anyone at all who insults the Prophet Muhammad, if you get him, kill him—leave him alone.

Where did Masud Abdullah get this idea? Contrary to Nihad Awad’s claim, Abdullah got it from Muhammad himself as depicted in Islamic tradition, which tells these stories, among others: A critic of the prophet of Islam, Ka’b bin Al-Ashraf, had mocked Muhammad in verse. Muhammad asked his followers: “Who is willing to kill Ka’b bin Al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His Apostle?” One of the Muslims, Muhammad bin Maslama answered, “O Allah’s Apostle! Would you like that I kill him?” When Muhammad said that he would, Muhammad bin Maslama said, “Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Kab).” Muhammad responded: “You may say it.” Muhammad bin Maslama duly lied to Ka’b, luring him into his trap, and murdered him. (Sahih Bukhari, volume 5, book 59, number 369)

Islam mandates death for non-Muslim subjects of the Islamic state who mention “something impermissible about Allah, the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), or Islam” (‘Umdat al-Salik, o11.10), and such laws are based upon passages in the Hadith and Sira in which Muhammad orders the murders of people who have insulted him.

These include Abu Afak, who was over one hundred years old, and the poetess Asma bint Marwan. Abu Afak was killed in his sleep, in response to Muhammad’s question, “Who will avenge me on this scoundrel?” Similarly, Muhammad on another occasion cried out, “Will no one rid me of this daughter of Marwan?” One of his followers, Umayr ibn Adi, went to her house that night, where he found her sleeping next to her children. The youngest, a nursing babe, was in her arms. But that didn’t stop Umayr from murdering her and the baby as well. Muhammad commended him: “You have done a great service to Allah and His Messenger, Umayr!” (Ibn Ishaq, 674-676)

Yet Islamic apologists in the West routinely lie about all this and claim that Muhammad reacted with grace and tolerance in the face of impossible provocations, and the leftist establishment media does its part by smearing as an “Islamophobe” anyone who dares to point out the relevant facts. They’ll keep saying it even when the deaths for blasphemy start in the U.S.
