Former Somali Refugee Hodan Hassan Runs For Minnesota House Of Representatives

Hodan Hassan is a Democratic Candidate for Minnesota House of Representatives in District 62A. In August, Hassan defeated 4 other Democratic candidates, winning the Democratic Primary Election with 2,207 votes. There were a total of 7,769 Democrat votes in the Primary Election. Bruce Lundeen ran unopposed in the Republican Primary Election, receiving 218 votes. Hodan Hassan will face Bruce Lundeen in the General Election on Nov. 6, 2018.

Hassan is a Muslim woman who was born in Somalia. Hassan came to the U.S. as a refugee.

Hassan is against the travel ban and calls President Trump a racist.

Hassan calls guns a public health issue.

Recently, a video of Hodan Hassan emerged. In this video, Hassan claims that Muslims are the victims of the September 11th terror attacks.
