Back in the time of the Revolutionary War, there were preachers, known as the Black Robe Regiment, who would stand against the tyrant King George.
He would send in his troops to kill colonists and take away their God-given rights.
Well, when these preachers got the news of what was going on in their country, they would climb into their pulpits and tell the people in their congregations that the British were murdering their brothers.
Then they would ask the question: Who will follow me to the battlefield?
So, these preachers and the men of their congregations would go and join the Continental Army.
Most of the preachers would join as chaplains and these are two stories of such preachers.
