Another Illegal Alien Charged With Felony Rape Of A Minor Protected By NYC Sanctuary City

New York City continues to engage in the policies of protecting illegal aliens over its own citizens, even when those citizens are sexually assaulted minors.  The latest incident comes as an illegal alien from Guatemala was set free by police after he was charged with second degree felony rape of a person under 14.

According to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE):

NEW YORK – A 20-year-old Guatemalan national illegally present in the U.S. was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers March 2. ERO had previously lodged an immigration detainer with the New York City Department of Corrections (NYCDOC) following his arrest for sexual offenses in Brooklyn.

Miguel Federico Ajqui-Ajtzalam was arrested by the NYPD Feb. 27, on the charges of felony rape in the 2nd, sexual abuse in the 2nd for sexual contact with a person less than 14 yrs., and act in manner to injure a child less than 17 yrs. ERO officers assigned to ERO New York’s Criminal Alien Program lodged a detainer with the NYCDOC. As a result of New York City’s sanctuary policies, Ajqui-Ajtzalam was subsequently arraigned and released from the custody of the NYCDOC without the detainer being honored.

Ajqui-Ajtzalam was initially encountered by U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) on Sept. 23, 2016 after illegally entering the U.S. without inspection. Ajqui-Ajtzalam was processed as an unaccompanied alien child (UAC), issued a Notice to Appear, and was released from ICE custody on Nov. 4, 2016 on an Order of Recognizance (OREC) pending removal proceedings.

On March 2, ERO officers arrested Ajqui-Ajtzalam in Brooklyn, New York. He is currently detained in ICE custody pending removal proceedings before a federal immigration judge.

“It’s inconceivable that a individual who was arrested for local charges of rape and sexual abuse of a child, would be released back into the community instead of being transferred to ICE who had a detainer in place. It’s frightening that our detainer was ignored and he was released onto New York City streets to possibly re-offend,” said Thomas R. Decker, field office director for ERO New York. “The safety of city residents, especially the more vulnerable, continues to be a priority for ICE enforcement.”

Yes, it is inconceivable.

It’s also inconceivable that New York won’t bring justice against rapists, and I’m not talking about a jail sentence that relies on Marxist tactics and injustices against both criminals and victims, but the kind of justice the seeks to ensure they never rape another person, not even in jail.  It’s called the death penalty and we used to engage in it.

Infowars adds:

Meanwhile, as the agency takes rapists off the streets, Democrat politicians and voters have promoted the “Abolish ICE” movement, accusing the agency of being racist and calling for its elimination.

“He is currently detained in ICE custody pending removal proceedings before a federal immigration judge,” according to the agency’s website.

Acting ICE Director Matthew Albence tried reaching out to NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio in February, hoping to work with him on keeping the city’s residents safe.

However, Albence’s letter was ignored by the mayor and the city’s anti-ICE policies continue to put New Yorkers in harm’s way.

For example, in January, a 92-year-old legal immigrant from the Dominican Republic was sexually assaulted and murdered by an illegal alien from Guyana who was previously released by NYC officials that ignored an ICE detainer request.

Another liberal-run megacity boasting sanctuary city status, Chicago, also recently denied an ICE detainer for an illegal immigrant who then went on to molest a three-year-old girl in a McDonald’s bathroom.

I must say that the most concerning thing in all of this is the lack of justice against violent criminals like Ajqui-Ajtzalam.

If convicted, he doesn’t need a prison sentence and he certainly doesn’t need to be deported only to return and do it again.

He needs a dirt nap.
