Billionaire Anti-Gun Rights Advocate Considers Presidential Bid

Well, well, looks like former Nanny State New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is considering throwing his hat into the ring for a presidential bid.  Personally, if someone has espoused clear anti-Constitutional, anti-American opinions such as Bloomberg has, and contributed money to attack the rights of the people, especially concerning the right to keep and bear arms, one should be disqualified from any public office.  Yet, here we are.

The New York Times, a collaborator with Socialists and Communists in America, reported:

Michael R. Bloomberg is actively considering a campaign for president as a Democrat in 2020, concluding that it would be his only path to the White House even as he voices stark disagreements with progressives on defining issues including bank regulation, stop-and-frisk police tactics and the #MeToo movement.

Mr. Bloomberg, 76, a billionaire media executive and former New York City mayor, has already aligned himself with Democrats in the midterm elections, approving a plan to spend $80 million to flip control of the House of Representatives. A political group he controls will soon begin spending heavily in three Republican-held districts in Southern California, attacking conservative candidates for their stances on abortion, guns and the environment.

At events across the West Coast and Nevada in recent days, Mr. Bloomberg, who was elected mayor as a Republican and an independent, denounced his former party in sharp terms. He urged audiences in Seattle and San Francisco to punish Republicans who oppose gun control or reject climate science. And in Las Vegas on Sunday he called on Democrats to seize command of the political center and win over Americans “who voted Republican in 2016.”

But Mr. Bloomberg’s aspirations appear to run well beyond dismantling Republicans’ House majority, and he is taking steps that advisers acknowledge are aimed in part at testing his options for 2020.

After a gun control-themed event in a Seattle community center Friday, Mr. Bloomberg, who has repeatedly explored running for president as an independent in the past, said in an interview that he now firmly believes only a major-party nominee can win the White House. If he were to run, Mr. Bloomberg said it would be as a Democrat, and he left open the door to changing his party registration in the coming months.

“It’s impossible to conceive that I could run as a Republican — things like choice, so many of the issues, I’m just way away from where the Republican Party is today,” Mr. Bloomberg said. “That’s not to say I’m with the Democratic Party on everything, but I don’t see how you could possibly run as a Republican. So if you ran, yeah, you’d have to run as a Democrat.”

Mr. Bloomberg said he had no specific timeline for deciding on a presidential run: “I’m working on this Nov. 6 election, and after that I’ll take a look at it.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Bloomberg has a history of backing anti-constitutional organizations like Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund and Moms Demand Action, who both lie and engage in unlawful and depraved activities to promote their unconstitutional positions.

Teresa Mull writes about Bloomberg’s history:

In an interview with The Times in 2014, Bloomberg said,

“You have to be careful if there’s two issues you care about, and they’re good on, one bad on the other, what do you do? And I think you’ve got to pick your issue. In our case, my case, it’s guns. I care very much about immigration. But guns are the No. 1 thing. So I’ve got a senator who’s running for re-election. He’s terrible on guns but good on immigration. I’m going after him. That’s it.”

Bloomberg’s money is behind The Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund, which, The Washington Postreports, “is spending millions to support candidates in four states, underscoring the extent to which gun control is shaping up to be an issue in the November midterm election.”

According to Everytown.org, the organization’s focus issues include “background checks on all gun sales.” Everytown urges people to “kick out lawmakers beholden to the gun lobby” and “stop concealed carry reciprocity.”

You might be interested to know that it was Bloomberg’s Everytown that teamed up Levi-Strauss to funnel millions more into the gun control movement.

Additionally, he has a history of Communist gun confiscation ideology and practice that dwarfs that of Hillary Clinton, according to Ryan Flugaur, Senior Political Director for the National Association for Gun Rights

“During and following his reign as Mayor, New York City, Bloomberg effectively bared the legal ownership of most firearms and notoriously prosecuted tourists, including military members, for attempting to comply with ‘no guns’ signs at national landmarks,” Flugaur said.

“If Bloomberg becomes president, you bet he’ll take New York-style gun control to the national level,” Flugaur added.  “He’ll keep pushing to ban guns and magazines and to strip Second Amendment rights from millions more law-abiding Americans without trial or congressional approval. Michael Bloomberg would be the most anti-gun President in our lifetime.”

Bloomberg is an effeminate tyrant.  He wants to be everyone’s mommy and daddy and determine what you eat and drink down to whether or not you have God-given rights.

Frankly, this guy concerns me a lot more than Oprah or any of the other possible 2020 contenders, especially in light of the dry run this year in the midterms for voter fraud that we are witnessing by Democrats simply because of where his money has been and how many people will simply back him over that and his former poor performance as New York City mayor.
