John Boehner was re-elected as Speaker of the House for a third term. For all those that thought, “Oh, if we can only elect Republicans everything will be fine,” I wish you would wake out of your dreams, which are America’s nightmares.

In what is being called the biggest defection from an incumbent speaker in at least 100 years, 25 Republicans voted against the compromised John Boehner. Only 29 were needed to prevent him from re-election.

So, who are those that voted against Boehner? Here’s the list and who they voted for:

The Daily Signal adds:

Just 408 members of the House participated in the speaker election, lowering the number of votes needed to reach a majority from 218 to 206.

Close to a dozen lawmakers from New York missed the vote to attend former New York Gov. Mario Cuomo’s funeral today. With their absence, the number of members Boehner needed to support him lowered from 218.

Just two years ago, the wagons were circling to oust Boehner following the 2012 elections. That only mustered 24 people opposing Boehner and he was re-elected. This year there was a more serious effort put forth, but only gaining one more vote.

With the lack of leadership and downright turncoat attitude of John Boehner, we can expect that there will be no repeal of Obamacare, amnesty will move forward and Obama and company will continue to get everything they want. The reality is that the Republicans, for the most part are Republicans in name only. They have no love for the Bible, the people or their oath, only their seats of power and their wallets. While there are a few still that are upstanding statesmen in Washington, it’s time the American people took heed to their Founding Father who wrote:

Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. 

Personally, I think it time to abolish the central government in Washington, which has become a behemoth of tyranny against the people that formed it. It has shown itself to be too corrupt.
