ESPN Reassigns College Football Announcer Robert Lee Because His Name Might Be Offensive

Editor’s Note:  Seriously, I thought this was a joke, but pay attention to Suzanne’s take on this.  Her peering into the future about names is not all that far-fetched considering what these people are doing.  Also, consider the fact that many men in America are tuned into ESPN, which is nothing more than part of the circus used to rob you of your liberties.

If you haven’t been asleep, you will notice how extreme and violent these protests by Antifa, leftist fascists, Black “Lies” Matter, and liberal progressive communists/socialists have become.

Everything, and I mean everything, has become centered on race and hatred for white people.  Confederate memorials, statues and monuments are on the chopping block.  These groups are now targeting many of the founding fathers for removal because they were slave owners.  And, Trump supporters remain targets for violence.

Confederate memorials, statues and monuments are on the chopping block.

These groups are now targeting many of the founding fathers for removal because they were slave owners.  And, Trump supporters remain targets for violence.

But, the biggest idiotic move in response to these violent protests by extreme leftist groups and Antifa comes from ESPN.

In what was termed “a people first decision,” ESPN MSESPN decided to replace Asian college football announcer Robert Lee for the upcoming William and Mary at University of Virginia football game because of “concerns” that people would be offended by the association of announcer Lee with Confederate General Robert E. Lee.

Lee, the Asian football announcer, was reassigned to the Youngstown State and Pittsburgh game while David Weeekley will cover the William and Mary at Virginia game.

Can this insanity get any worse?  Yes it can.  It will, given enough time to continue its momentum if it isn’t stopped.

Breitbart reported:

ESPN pulled an Asian broadcaster named Robert Lee from a University of Virginia football game because of his name. Lee is being moved to cover a game in Pittsburgh instead.

“We collectively made the decision with Robert to switch games as the tragic events in Charlottesville were unfolding, simply because of the coincidence of his name,” ESPN officials disclosed in a statement obtained from ESPN spokesman Derek Volner. “In that moment if felt right to all parties.”

How much longer before ESPN asks Lee to change his name because of continued violence across the nation by groups more sensitive and explosive than a handful of sodium placed in a beaker of water?

Clay Travis at first reported on the story.  He had this to say.

But, seriously, is there anything more pathetic than ESPN believing people would be offended by an Asian guy named Robert Lee sharing a name with Robert E. Lee and calling a football game? Aside from some hysterical photoshops and Internet memes which would make everyone with a functional brain laugh — Robert E. Lee pulling out all the stops to stay in Charlottesville now! — what was the big fear here? Does ESPN really believe people are this dumb or that having an Asian announcer named Robert Lee is too offensive for the average TV viewer to handle?

Yes, yes they do.

I’m sorry you work for such an idiotic company, Robert Lee.

The statement from ESPN concluded with this, “It’s a shame that this is even a topic of conversation and we regret that who calls play-by-play for a football game has become an issue.”

Well, ESPN, who made it an issue?  You did.  You assumed that “viewers” might find his name offensive in light of the insanity in Charlottesville, Virginia.

There was no protest over this announcer’s name by anyone.  And, even if there were, giving into insanity does not create sanity.

Let’s be rational here.

It was a few weeks ago that somewhere, some idiot decided the word “lynch” was racist and offensive.

Has anyone seen Loretta Lynch jump to the camera and microphone to apologize for her name and declare she would change it to avoid offending anyone?  Yeah, didn’t think so.

These crazy ID10T card carriers and mentally deranged folks will move on to people’s names next once they succeed in having monuments, statues, memorials and tributes to Confederate soldiers, who the government awarded US veteran status, and founding fathers who owned slaves removed.

If you have a last name or first name that happens to be one from history associated with slavery, you and your name will be on the chopping block, unless you are a government elite or fascist leftist looney toon.

Names of towns they find offensive will rise.  It has happened with “Lynchburg.”

One can list the obvious last names.  But what about individuals whose last name is “White?”

If you are either race that last name could pose a problem for the overly sensitive, pacifier needing fascists.  What about “Brown?”  Being a white person with the last name Brown could “trigger” someone – only an overly sensitive, pacifier needing fascist.  It would be the same if you are white and your last name is “Black.”

Then, there is “Foreman,” “Cross,” “Wall,” “Mobley” – a combination of “mob” and “lee” with altered spelling, “Spader,” “Spade,” “Roper,” “Masters” and so on and so forth.

How many are there?

Will these groups demand renaming of the “Lincoln” make of vehicles? There would be no more “Lincoln Continental,” “Lincoln Navigator,” or “Lincoln MKC.”  How far would this go?

ESPN has already set the “bar” for these ignorant masses.

No one protested the name of one of its employees.

Yet, this company took it upon itself to move an announcer over the “assumption” of a viewer finding his name “offensive.”

It would be nice if getting support for the Constitution were that easy – protest a bit, claim offense at non-support, and push for removal of symbols anathema to freedom and liberty.

However, the concepts contained in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution do not benefit big corporations, the government or those who seek to leech off the fruits of another’s labors.

The fascist, slave state does.

The definition of irony is lost on these people.

Irony – people offended by slavery rushing to erase history surrounding it while helping move society toward a “slave” state and asking for reparations for slavery.  All anyone can say to this is “Smooth move, Ex-Lax.”

All anyone can say to this is “Smooth move, Ex-Lax.”

As we are witnessing, governments and companies are willing to indulge these children instead of providing discipline for their criminal behavior as a parent would.

These groups are essential to the government in order to provide a vehicle for further limiting freedoms.

If the government will not do its duty to protect the citizens and States fall in lock step with the ignorant and federal government, the people will be required to do it.

Conflict, at this point, is unavoidable with the movement on its current unimpeded path.

While it may be extreme to hypothesize these groups will target people’s names, their level of insanity would indicate it is the next step once they finish with monuments, statues, memorials and tributes.

ESPN established a precedent for these mentally ill individuals to grasp.

Could food be far behind?

With the level of insanity of these people, nothing is off limits, especially with complicit governments and companies.
