“We are not sent to minister to a congregation and be content if we keep things going. We are sent to make war and to stop short of nothing but the subjugation of the world to the sway of the Lord Jesus.” -William Booth, Founder of The Salvation Army
While speaking at an event recently in Montana, I was told by an individual to “get ready because we were going to do some great things.” Then here it came, “But first we have to hone some things in, and tone some things down.”
I was instantly offended.
“Tone things down?” I asked. Really!
Instead of taking responsibility for what has become of this nation on his clock (15 years older than me) and repenting (Jeremiah 3:22), the man wanted to tell me to tone it down for preaching out against the sins of the nation because he had failed to do so. How rebellious these professors have become.
No surprise here, the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him (Luke 7:30).
Remember, it was the Pharisees (Matthew 23) that continually persecuted Jesus for the same things because He exposed them for who they truly were (John 7:7). It was as if this man was telling a police officer to take it easy on doing his job.
I responded, “When your way becomes effective, then, and only then, will I tone things down, but not until then. Babies are being murdered (60 million), sodomites are making prey out of our children (Leviticus 18:22; Luke 17:2), students are being indoctrinated in public schools with evolution and the United Nations’ agenda (Hosea 4:6), where our Church and government are working hand in glove and now attempting to hand off our country to those who mean to conquer and you want me to tone it down?”
The first thing I thought of was “And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not steadfast with God. The children of Ephraim, being armed, and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle” (Psalm 78:8-9).
These men apparently do not understand Scriptures like 1 Thessalonians 1:5.
“For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.”
Or 2 Corinthians 3:6:
“Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.”
Like the Pharisees, they had a knowledge of the Word, but they had not the Spirit. Then again, the Holy Ghost is given to them that obey (Acts 5:32).
How foreign is the Spirit of God to these modern-day Pharisees who have brought this country to the point it is at in the present. We have no other choice but to stand up and fight the good fight (Psalm 94:16; 1 Timothy 6:12), a fight that has been avoided far too long.
These dead men (Luke 11:44) that have been trodden under the foot of men (Matthew 5:13) want you to believe that somehow they are the standard in making the up and coming generations twofold the sons/daughters of Hell (Matthew 23;15). They are not the standard, Jesus Christ is THE STANDARD (1 Timothy 2:5).
Interesting, is it not, that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is being equated to the modern-day hirelings in America today (John 10:12). They are attempting to tear down His image to make it just like theirs. They are effeminate, compromised diplomats as well as being self-appointed ministers of His word when the Lord sent them not (Jeremiah 23:21). Defiant rebels toward the God that they say that they serve.
These are promulgators of a lawless gospel (Galatians 3:25; 2 Timothy 2:19) and a false grace (Jude 4), who have raised up a generation of anarchists, and how could it be otherwise when they themselves are antinomians – enemies to the Lord’s government?
As for the character of the Son of God:
“For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.” -Matthew 7:29
Just think with me, if Jesus had preached the same message that these hirelings of the day preach, He would never have been crucified.
I end with a quote from William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army:
“The chief danger that confronts the coming century will be religion without the Holy Ghost, Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration, politics without God, heaven without hell.”
This truth falls to those men that have refused the Lord’s leading by acting on the will of the flesh rather than the will of the Spirit (John 1:13). Instead of telling others that are taking the kingdom by force (Matthew 11:2) to tone it down, these should examine themselves to see whether they be in the faith or not (2 Corinthians 13:5). Repent, to whom this applies. I am free from the blood of these men (Acts 20:26).
