New York’s Governor Cuomo has never suffered from modesty. Or could even spell it.
He’s a relentless and ruthless grifter, crawling from one disaster to another, going from having set the ground for the economic catastrophe of the oughts while in the Clinton administration, to shoving his blind black predecessor out of the way on the way to the governor’s mansion, and, after killing thousands of senior citizens by forcing nursing homes to accept coronavirus patients, he’s got a book on the way about, what else, his incredible leadership lessons.
Not surprising for a shameless hack who was using a government site to sell a poster bashing Trump and touting his response to the pandemic. Or falsely claiming that he was going to make hand sanitizer in prisons.
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who has gained a national following through his management of the coronavirus pandemic, is writing a book that looks back on his experiences so far, and includes leadership advice
Killing between 6,000 and 11,000 senior citizens in nursing homes is quite the leadership act.
But American Crisis: Leadership Lessons from the Covid-19 Pandemic isn’t likely to discuss that except by following Cuomo’s familiar line and blaming it on “politics”.
If Cuomo were a more religious man, he might be familiar with the Prophet Eliyahu’s message to King Ahab, “Hast thou murdered and also inherited” (Kings 1:21:19), but if he were a more religious man, he might have some sense of humility or morality.
So instead, Cuomo and his political party, have murdered thousands, and expect to inherit the White House and the Senate.
But at least the AP article notes it,
Cuomo has received some of his strongest criticism for the thousands of virus-related deaths at New York nursing homes. A recent AP investigation found that the state’s death toll of nursing home patients, already among the highest in the nation, could be significantly more than reported. Unlike every other state with major outbreaks, only New York explicitly says that it counts just residents who died on nursing home property and not those who were transported to hospitals and died there.
So far, Cuomo’s administration has declined to release the number. The governor has called criticism of nursing home deaths politically motivated.
Cuomo is using the deaths of thousands of grandmas and grandpas whose lives his policies helped end, to push out a campaign bio and cash in.
“Hast thou murdered and also inherited” indeed.
