Iran Lies about Nukes – CNN Badgers Israel

Only CNN could learn that a rogue, terrorist supporting nation like Iran has been lying about trying to develop powerful nuclear weapons and the missiles with which to shoot them around the globe, and decide that the people they need to be questioning are the Israelis.

On Monday, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed to the world that Iran had been lying and cheating since before the Iran Nuclear Agreement was even concluded. On Tuesday, Netanyahu appeared on CNN’s New Day with host Chris Cuomo who wanted to focus on whether or not Israel had nuclear weapons. Only CNN could mangle the story so badly.

Here’s how it went down:

Chris Cuomo: The idea of disclosure. Iran won’t tell the truth, we had to guy in there and steal this information so we could know the truth. Disclosure, as an issue, should work every way. The United States should say what it has, you know where I’m going with this.

A yes or no question for you: Does Israel have nuclear capabilities and nuclear weapons, yes or no?

Benjamin Netanyahu: We’ve always said we won’t be the first to introduce it, so we won’t introduce it. And I’ll tell you one thing, we’ve never called for the annihilation of another country.

Chris Cuomo: That is not an answer to the question. Do you have them or not?

Benjamin Netanyahu: it is as good an answer as you’re going to get…

Chris Cuomo: But you know what [Iran’s] take on this is, you won’t even confirm that you having nuclear weapons when the world already believes that you do. Why? Why keep that quiet?

Benjamin Netanyahu: You can make all your assumptions. One thing is clear, Israel is not threatening the annihilation of another country.

What Cuomo seems to be refusing to get through his thick skull is that Israel is not threatening anyone, anywhere.

Israel has only ever acted in its defense, and it’s only ever fought wars to protect its own borders.

However, unlike almost every other nation in the world, Israel is surrounded by neighbors who have openly spoken of their desire to wipe Israel off the map. Both the Iranians and the Palestinians have openly spoken of ridding the world of both the nation of Israel and of ethnic Jews.

Sadly, it’s not just Iran that Israel has to worry about. They also have to contend with Syria, Qatar, Lebanon, Libya, Oman, Yemen, the U.A.E. and other Arab ( and mostly Muslim) nations that wish to destroy them. Thankfully, in recent years Israel has negotiated peace with Jordan, and Egypt and since Saudi Arabia is such a close ally of the USA, Israel has little to fear from them as well. But Israel lives in a precarious position, a position that Iran could never understand… because no one is trying to wipe Iran from this world.

In fact, the world wants to live at peace with Iran and yet, Iran wants only to gain weapons of mass destruction, finance terrorists like:

the Iraqi Shia in IraqHezbollah in LebanonIslamic Jihad (PIJ), the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-GC), and, to a lesser extent, Hamas in Gaza and the Houthis in Yemen, among others.

Iran has soldiers currently fighting against us and our allies in Yemen, Syria, and Lebanon, the are attempting to build a Middle Eastern empire with the goal of destabilizing their neighbors and destroying Israel.

And yet…

Here’s CNN and Chris Cuomo wondering about Israel’s nuclear capability… this is worse than journalistic malpractice, it’s massive stupidity.
