(True Conservative Pundit) “People are being told to stay home, while they wave bye-bye to their jobs and income. Some states are even threatening people with arrest and jail time and/or fines for disobeying shelter in place orders.”
According to OAN News, the Senate unanimously passed legislation authorizing 2 TRILLION dollars in new spending to help offset the impact of the Coronavirus, or COVID-19, legislation that should not have been needed in the first place.
The Senate has unanimously approved the largest relief bill in American history. Worth more than $2 trillion, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security, or CARES Act, passed the upper chamber of Congress in a unanimous 96-to-zero vote on Wednesday.
“I’m proud to announce tonight not a single senator voted against this $2 trillion rescue bill to save American individuals, small businesses, larger businesses and to provide considerable funding for the health care workers and the scientists and the doctors and others who are trying to solve this pandemic,” stated Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).
McConnell is proud of a bill that never should have been needed in the first place because of a pandemic that has been blown way out of proportion by the powers that be; seeking to destroy the U.S. economy if not the entire world economy.
That sounds all conspiracy and cloak and dagger, right?
Just stop for a moment, stop and rationally think (something that those in power would rather you not do) about this mess we find ourselves in.
Is the Coronavirus a serious problem? Yes, for sure. Is it as serious as it’s made out to be?
YES, but not for the reasons you might think that it is…
Fellow author Lyle Rapacki posted an article that resounds with truth, something you won’t hear a lot of concerning the Coronavirus.
The “Corona Virus” is real, but is reported and sensationalized like never before to bring our society and the business of the nation to a standstill. It has succeeded…
Yes, it sure has. Restaurants are closed down except for take out, bars are closed, and many states have ordered all non-essential businesses to close down. People are being told to stay home, while they wave bye-bye to their jobs and income. Some states are even threatening people with arrest and jail time and/or fines for disobeying shelter in place orders.
The stock market has crashed in a major way, and billions have been lost, some of it for good. Funny thing, (or maybe not so funny) before all this happened and the **it hit the fan, over 1000 CEOs resigned, and a boatload of CEOs, market insiders, and even prominent politicians dumped BILLIONS in stock, thereby making a mint before the markets crashed.
But this is all just coincidence, right?
Retailers are beginning to stop paying rent. Businesses are going to begin to go under, and they aren’t all going to be coming back either.
The other day, a colleague I work within the non-emergency medical transport industry was pulled over by local police (in a city of under 20,000). Why? Because he had more than ONE person in his vehicle. Really? This has gone way too far; this is completely ridiculous and asinine. Why isn’t all of this done for the flu which by all standards is far worse than COVID-19? It IS after all much more deadly on a national scale than the Coronavirus is. Many sites, of course, are proclaiming the exact opposite as loudly as possible.
Today (03/26/2020) we learn that Congress passed a HUGE pork-barrel spending bill aimed at Coronavirus relief for We the People. One small problem here, this bill reads more like a gigantic corporate bailout (welfare).
The CARES Act bails out the airlines, again, and even the postal service, which is teetering on near insolvency is receiving 10 BILLION. Yes, that will for sure fix our wayward mail delivery system (eye roll).
You can see a list of handouts and welfare to outright theft in this bill on Tim Brown’s site, The Washington Standard.
I wrote about this last week comparing the Coronavirus to the flu, the flu is a substantially larger killer than the Coronavirus is, there isn’t really any comparison to be made.
Deaths due to Influenza are about 0.1% of those infected – that is WAY less than 1% for those math-challenged folks out there.
Deaths due to Coronavirus are about (it varies by region, country etc.) 2–3%.
Far more deadly right? But that isn’t the whole story either.
According to Live Science:
So far, the new coronavirus has led to more than 220,000 illnesses and more than 9,300 deaths worldwide. But that’s nothing compared with the flu, also called influenza. In the U.S. alone, the flu has caused an estimated 36 million illnesses, 370,000 hospitalizations and 22,000 deaths this season, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). (Bolding mine)
The common flu is far more deadly than the Coronavirus is, at least healthwise.
The MSM and many politicians have the sheeple right where they want them – scared half to death.
The U.S. as a whole is very, very vulnerable right now. This is the perfect time for government to sneak in more powers for itself don’t you think? All under the guise of “protecting” Americans.
In fact, the U.S. Department of Justice just quietly asked for the power to – now get this…
Detain U.S. citizens indefinitely without trial during emergencies.
Sounds more like communist China than the United States of America, no?
