Obama has openly declared his intention during the last two years of his presidency, if, he even leaves office in 2016. In an interview with the Huffington Post, reported by the Daily Caller, Obama stated, “Where [elected Republicans in Congress] are not willing to work with us, we will do it administratively or we will convene the private sector.”
“By hook or by crook,” he added.
If that is not as plain as the nose on your face, then, what is? By hook or by crook, Obama plans to implement his progressive destroying of America agenda, by basically saying to heck with Congress, the American voters, and taxpayers. The phrase essentially means “‘by any means necessary,’ suggesting that one need not be concerned with morality or other considerations when accomplishing some goal.” If he has to violate the Constitution or any other laws to do what he wants, that’s what he’s going to do … end of story.
The Daily Caller reported:
Obama said his big-government push would “make sure when I leave this office, that the country is more prosperous, more people have opportunity, kids have better education, we’re more competitive, climate change is being taken more seriously than it was, and we are actually trying to do something about it.”
All of this from the man who has lied over 900 times, that we are aware, since taking office to US citizens and the world. His “big-government push” would definitely not accomplish any of those things except for subjugating US citizens to the agenda of the false climate change and instituting government tyrannical control.
The real intent is explained as follows:
In practice, Obama’s agenda includes more progressive control over peoples’ salaries, education practices and the energy companies. Each expansion means the state and local governments plus large and small companies will cooperate with regulators to push progressive’s goals, instead of trying to please American voters, taxpayers, and free-market consumers.
This basically goes to say what many have been saying for quite some time – your vote doesn’t matter. It also might explain some actions taken by local governments, including many counties’ Board of Commissioners, to barrel ahead with projects and deals that are not in the best interest of residents, taxpayers and voters.
While we are all aware that the Constitution of the united States of America vests the power of legislation in Congress and not the executive, Obama ignores the duty he has to “take care that the laws are faithfully executed” and moved on to declaring emperor/king/dictator status by establishing laws, rewriting laws, cajoling the private sector to lord over the people, and shut out dissent in Congress by declaring Republicans moot.
Obama has a strongly united force consisting of “46 Senators, most of the established media, plus a progressive and ethnic coalition that comprises roughly 40 percent of the electorate.”
The current Republican party is split between conservatives, RINOs and establishment leadership. While conservatives support limited government and a small central government established in the Constitution, the GOP establishment leadership, along with their lobbyists and campaign donors, prefer to “make deals that provide short-term economic benefits to business groups and to wealthy donors.”
The American voter sent a message in the November 2014 elections that rang loud and clear – the people are tired of unfettered over-reach by the executive and Democrats. The honeymoon phase was apparent as people cheered the “changing of the guard” with the Republican majority in both houses. However, the people have been betrayed by establishment Republicans and RINOs.
Let’s now count the ways in which the GOP establishment has betrayed the people, giving rise to the office of the president being moved to a dictatorship.
- GOP has “failed to stop Obama’s ‘by hook or crook’ expansion of progressive power at the expense of the free market and American’s freedoms”;
- GOP failed to block Net Neutrality allowing a federal agency to decide what companies can charge for internet service, making the federal government the internet executives’ most important customer;
- GOP failed to block or even fight illegal executive amnesty for illegal alien invaders – letting Obama fund amnesty in “exchange for new rules that allow Wall Street banks to get federal backing for risky economic bets;
- GOP leadership in both chambers allied with Democrats to overcome amnesty opposition by allowing Obama to “use fees paid by illegals to fund amnesty”;
- GOP leadership negotiated with Democratic leaders to “develop a health-sector spending plan that would deepen and expand government control over the health sector, and would also increase the national debt by roughly $400 billion.
Let’s not forget that through the work permit program for illegals, Social Security payments in the future, “tax rebates worth over $1.7 billion over 10 years,” issuing of drivers’ licenses, a quick path to citizenship and the voting booth by 2024, Obama’s amnesty could reach a 5-decade cost of $1.3 trillion.
When it comes to matters that hit closer to home, GOP leaders, like Mitch McConnell, current Senate Majority Leader, are more than willing to buck Obama and his ilk. McConnell fought hard to protect his home-state’s coal companies. This was more than likely an action to keep his position in future elections than it was to truly fight progressivism.
The conservative members of the Republican party that now serves in both chambers are out-maneuvered, out gunned and been scraped off the plate like rancid meat by the Democrats and GOP establishment. Power grabs by Obama in the health, education, energy, and internet sectors and the immigration system have gone unabated. The citizens of the United States have to come to terms with recognizing this fact and act appropriately. It is apparent Congress is not listening, does not care to listen and is basically telling the voters to stick it where the sun don’t shine.
Impeachment would be a solution; but, good luck with anyone in the House drafting those articles. There has been talk about it. Talk, nothing more. Republican barks all day long but as we have discovered, they have no bite. Besides, Boehner disagrees with it, and “lawdog” Gowdy uses the “have you met Joe Biden” remark to justify inaction. The real reason impeachment has been taken off the table has nothing to do with whether or not they disagree with the Constitution or have no faith in the successor. Impeachment has been taken off the table because establishment Republicans are just as “progressive” as the Democrats and have become fans of the “socialist” big-government state.
What happened to that lawsuit that Boehner was going to initiate that had many who proclaimed themselves conservatives backing it since it would hold Obama accountable? As was predicted, it has gone nowhere since it was a “dog and pony” political stunt in the first place. The establishment GOP has taken an “if you can’t beat them, join them” position, which now means the US is almost officially a one political party nation. All communist nations and dictatorships are basically one political party nations.
Citizens should now look to their state and local governments to combat this ever-growing tyranny that will grow exponentially over the remaining Obama second-term before he gets his hand in that cookie jar even farther. Regardless of what Congress, Obama, or any federal agency wants citizens to believe, our nation consists of a cooperative of sovereign states with constitutional republic forms of government that established a central government to conduct limited business on their behalf. Certain judges, such as Andrew Hanen and Roy Moore, are standing against the over-reach. The states have the power if they would exercise it; but, it is up to the people to hold their states’ feet to the fire.
Obama has made it plain – by hook or by crook. It certainly won’t be long before the lamestream enemedia hops all over this statement reassuring the nation it wasn’t meant like he said or it was taken out of context. Well, judge for yourself. Below are Obama’s statements surrounding the “by hook or by crook” phrase.
What we have done though is consistently looked for additional opportunities to get stuff done. Wherever we see a possibility of increasing wages, creating more jobs, making sure that more people are able to access opportunity, we’re going to seize it. And we’re going to, wherever possible, try to reach out to Republicans and see if they can work with us. And where, they’re not willing to work with us, we will do it administratively or we will convene the private sector.
By hook or by crook, we’re going to make sure when I leave this office, that the country is more prosperous, more people have opportunity, kids have a better education, we’re more competitive, climate change is being taken more seriously than it was, and we are actually going to do something about it. Those are going to be the measures by which I look back and say whether I’ve been successful as president.
