“It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible.” -President George Washington
This last week, I had a caller that had made the statement that our forefathers were deists (One who believes in the existence of God but denies revealed religion-That the Lord does not intervene as a Father on the behalf of His children).
When this caller made this statement, I had to set the record straight, for I knew that the revisionists (Act of revising) had this person thinking the opposite of what was true (Isaiah 5:20).
The first thing that we need to do before starting this piece is to get you to jump over the Mayflower Compact, which smacks of the pulpit, and the Declaration of Independence, in which it states that our forefathers appealed to the “Supreme Judge of the World for the Rectitude of our Intentions,” and, of course, the consummation of the U. S. Constitution which states “the Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord 1787.”
One more point to make: Do your best to overlook the Scripture reference on the Liberty Bell.
“Proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof.” -Leviticus 25:10
The Christian crosses over the heads of our fallen, the pledge of allegiance “One nation under God,” and, of course, every state preamble starts off acknowledging the God of our fathers. And, of course, you have to turn your back when your representatives put their hands on the Bible and swear to uphold the enumerated laws found within the U. S. Constitution.
What of the Matrix of Liberty that has been out of sight and out of mind when it comes to the education of our young in America?
Our Forefathers sure spent a lot of time in making reference to a God that is so far away and refuses to intervene on their behalf, or so the revisionists would have you believe.
The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were. . . . the general principles of Christianity. -JOHN ADAMS
America was born a Christian nation – America was born to exemplify that devotion to the elements of righteousness which are derived from the revelations of Holy Scripture. -WOODROW WILSON
This is a Christian Nation. -HARRY TRUMAN
Let’s get to that which is found in Deuteronomy 1:31 ”And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the LORD thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place.”
“For the LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the LORD thy God hath been with thee; thou hast lacked nothing.” -Deuteronomy 2:7
The Lord is not going to contradict His own word (Numbers 23:19). He is not going to create us and then forget us, I think of such scripture as 1 Timothy 1:8: “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.”
This is the Word of The Lord, the Word that returns not unto Himself void (Isaiah 55:11).
And when it comes to our forefathers during the founding era, Benjamin Franklin wrote:
“In this situation of this Assembly, groping as it were in the dark to find political truth, and scarce able to distinguish it when presented to us, how has it happened, Sir, that we have not hitherto once thought of humbly applying to the Father of lights to illuminate our understandings? In the beginning of the Contest with G. Britain, when we were sensible of danger we had daily prayer in this room for the divine protection. ”Our prayers, Sir, were heard, and they were graciously answered. All of us who were engaged in the struggle must have observed frequent instances of a Superintending providence in our favor. To that kind providence we owe this happy opportunity of consulting in peace on the means of establishing our future national felicity. And have we now forgotten that powerful friend? I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth- that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid? We have been assured, Sir, in the sacred writings, that “except the Lord build the House they labour in vain that build it.” I firmly believe this; and I also believe that without his concurring aid we shall succeed in this political building no better than the Builders of Babel: We shall be divided by our little partial local interests; our projects will be confounded, and we ourselves shall become a reproach and bye word down to future ages. And what is worse, mankind may hereafter from this unfortunate instance, despair of establishing Governments be Human Wisdom and leave it to chance, war and conquest.
I therefore beg leave to move, that henceforth prayers imploring the assistance of Heaven, and its blessings on our deliberations, be held in this Assembly every morning before we proceed to business, and that one or more of the Clergy of the City be requested to officiate in that service.”
Of our Founders,
- 28 were Episcopalians
- 8 were Presbyterians
- 7 were Congregationalists
- 2 were Dutch Reformed
- 2 were Methodists
- 2 were Roman Catholics
- 1 Unknown and evidence does not support that the remains 3 founding forefathers were deists.
In conclusion: I can tell you what it looks like when the revisionists are allowed to set the narrative by indoctrinating those who will listen to them (Hosea 4:6). They are taught to turn on the God of their fathers, which becomes worse than that of deism.
If one wants to see the fruit of such lies, all you have to do is to take a look around and see the hell that has been created due to the fact that many listened to that which is not true!
