Here is more evidence that babies in the womb are not “blobs of tissue.” An ultrasound captured a 14-week-old baby clapping its hands together as its mother sings.

“If You’re Happy and You Know It Clap Your Hands” takes on new meaning as Jen Cardinal from the United Kingdom sings to her precious unborn baby.

According to her YouTube video description:

At our 14 week ultrasound our baby was clapping, so I sang a song with our doctor as my husband filmed.

Jen also added, “The experience is one I’ll never forget. The baby clapped three times, then the doctor rewound and scrubbed it while we sang. No mystery. It was amazing.”

The 15-second video was uploaded on March 26, 2015 and has nearly 2.5 million views.

Jen received comments from both pro-life advocates and pro-death advocates. Among the comments were:

• “More proof shoved into every pro abortion idiotics faces, that life does not begin at birth”
  
• “Love this video! as a nurse in perinatology, I’ve seen jillions of ultrasounds, and never seen a baby do this, Its obviously real that baby clapped a few times…to catch a 14 weeker clapping once or twice would be great but this is remarkable. Good for you that you caught it on video…phooey on haters, this is great”
  
• “he clapped then they duped in the song.  editing people”
  
• “This is repetition of a single accidental movement ! I am an obstetrician”
  

Sadly, later in the comments, Jen seemed to be more than willing to support other mothers’ choice to murder their baby. She wrote, “the claps were a coincidence, involuntary movement, we want this baby very much and are thrilled at the happy coincidence, however, I fully and wholeheartedly support women’s reproductive rights and do NOT want this video somehow used to oppress them.”

However, she was rightfully corrected by another commenter. Capon33 wrote, “On the contrary. This video is now circulating the globe to pro-life & anti-abortion organizations. That’s how I came across it. God works in mysterious ways & now this video is further evidence of a human being in the womb. In this way God has used you Jen to further his cause for the protection of pre-born life.”

“Oppress?” Capon33 asked. “Your video is setting abortion minded pregnant mothers free – letting them see the live baby in their womb. Seeing the ultrasound does this all the time. Your ultrasound is not oppressing. It’s setting mothers free & allowing babies to live. Everyone has the right not to be oppressed but to see the truth and be set free.”

Amen! That is true. As a friend of mine has rightly said, “If the ears won’t hear, tell it to the eyes.”

Abortion is murder of the most innocent among us. While I am glad that Jen and her husband want their baby, I am disappointed that she does not understand that this has nothing to do with “women’s reproductive rights” and oppression. It has everything to do with inconvenience and murder.

God says that he hates “hands that shed innocent blood” (Proverbs 6:17). He also says these precious children are a reward from Him (Ps. 217:3) and that they are to be trained in such a fashion that they are as “arrows in the hand of a might man” (Ps. 127:4) and the man that has his “quiver full of them” is happy. Of this I can testify to as God has graciously filled my quiver with ten wonderful arrows, which I pray will be let loose upon the world and hit their marks for the glory of God.
