In the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, Sheriff Grady Judd issued a statement on live television that I have stated for a long time, and that is that if people are determined to flood an area and loot or to cause harm, such as was threatened after the George Zimmerman verdict, that people should eliminate the threat by shooting the criminals. Judd said pretty much the same thing, saying that if a looter entered someone’s home, the homeowner should “shoot looters like grated cheese!”
“I would highly suggest that if a looter enters your home, comes into your home while you’re there to steal stuff, that you take your gun and you shoot him so he looks like grated cheese.”
I think he meant “swiss cheese,” but the point is valid. My hat is off to Sheriff Judd! Well said, sir!
Back in 2020, Sheriff Judd issued a warning to the Anifa and BLM looters and provocateurs: “If you value your life, they probably shouldn’t do that in Polk County. Because the people of Polk County like guns, they have guns, I encourage them to own guns, and they’re going to be in their homes tonight with their guns loaded, and if you try to break into their homes to steal, to set fires, I’m highly recommending they blow you back out of the house with their guns. So, leave the community alone.”

By the way, Sheriff Judd also came under fire for preaching at a local church in his uniform and had a message for anti-theists. Judd said he speaks to about 15-20 churches a year and has no plans to slow down or change clothes. “Let me say this clearly and unequivocally, when people call the Sheriff’s Office and ask me to come speak, I’m gonna come speak and I’m gonna wear my uniform- you can guarantee it,” Judd said.
