The Lord is Willing to Give the Church What It Is Willing to Fight For! Those Who Are of “Another Spirit” Understand

“No where in scripture can you find where the Lord ever failed a faithful man or woman of God, nowhere!” -Bradlee Dean

It is amazing as to how apt people in the American Church today are when it comes to disseminating fear and defeat only to further paralyze and ensure defeat on behalf of their own people.  Fear is the enemy to real faith (2 Timothy 1:7).

If you want to understand a little of what I am talking about, just read through a modern day Christian (?) media outlet, nothing but defeatism, and continuously aligning and subjecting themselves to the very darkness that it should be reproving (Ephesians 5:11).

It reminds me of when the Lord sent out Joshua and Caleb to search out the land that the Lord had given them (Numbers 13:1).  Scripture tells us:

“And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.

And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.”

Now, remember, the Lord had already told the children of Israel that it was the land that He had given them.

“…which I give unto the children of Israel” -Numbers 13:2

When you put this in parallel to the American Church today, much is the same, but there are always going to be those who are of a another spirit, not many mind you, but there will always be the one or two who will stand up and take the Lord at His word and get the promised victory.

One such case is a church overseer in Tampa Florida.

Liberty Counsel reported:

TAMPA, FL – Dr. Rodney Howard-Browne, pastor of The River at Tampa Bay Church, was arrested at his home today by Hernando County Sheriff Deputies for holding a church service yesterday. The church is located in Hillsborough County, Florida, March 30, 2020.

Then on April 2, 2020, it was reported that Hillsborough County Council just met and voted to reverse its order from law last Friday. At the recommendation of County Attorney Beck, the council voted to recognize churches as “essential.”  Lesbian Mayor Castor wanted to impose the 10 person and six-foot social distancing restriction on churches, but the council voted against her recommendation at the advice of counsel. Any future guidance the county may issue will be recommendations and not enforceable.

Last night, Gov. Ron Desantis also amended his executive order (Only constitutional if they are congruent to the US Constitution) from April 1 in which he recognized attending “religious services conducted in churches, synagogues and houses of worship” as “Essential Activities.”

Churches are now recognized as “essential” and providing “essential activities” everywhere in Florida.

Liberty Counsel was hours away from filing a federal lawsuit against Hillsborough County. The County Council knew that lawsuit was forthcoming. As a result, the lawsuit will be placed on hold.

The Meeting That Happened In The Fire!

Now, let’s go to Numbers 14:1-10 where Scripture tells us the children of Israel’s response:

And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night. And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!

And wherefore hath the Lord brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?

And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt. Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel. And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes: And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land. If the Lord delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey.

Only rebel not ye against the Lord, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the Lord is with us: fear them not. But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the Lord appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel. And the Lord said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me?”

However, verse 24 is what gets my attention and it should get yours, as well.

“But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.”

To some friends, the Christian walk is surreal.  Yet, when you have to fight for the victories that the Lord has promised, you will find that they are very real, which only goes to show you that you are of another spirit (John 3:6), that is if you see it through.
