Trump Sidelines Jim Acosta: “CNN Is Fake News. I Don’t Take Questions From CNN.”

If there is one thing I really like about President Donald Trump it’s the fact that he really knows how to give it to CNN, the least trusted name in news.  During a press conference with UK Prime Minister Theresa May on Friday, CNN’s Jim Acosta wanted to ask Trump a question, but Trump shut him down by once again referring to CNN as fake news and saying he would not be taking questions from CNN.

“Since you attacked CNN can I ask you a question?” Acosta asked the president during the Q&A period.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Trump responded, “CNN is fake news. I don’t take questions from CNN. Let’s go to a real network,” and gave the question to Fox News’ John Roberts.

“Well we’re a real network, too, sir,” Acosta chimed in trying to get the last word.

Take a look.  You have to know there was snickering among many who were there.

If you recall, it was Trump who not only called out CNN for being fake news, but “very fake news.”

Jim Acosta and CNN have brought it on themselves though.  We’ve documented dozens of times over the past decade where CNN has not just presented “fake news,” but completely fabricated stories.

Even in his first press conference, Trump called CNN as fake news.

But this isn’t Acosta’s first time being shut down by President Trump.  Have a good laugh at other times that Trump has put him in his place.

In June 2017, Acosta threatened the White House by saying that reporters should walk out and not cover the President, but it looks like he stood there alone.

Furthermore, Acosta was among conspiracy theorists who simply would not accept the medical results of Dr. Ronny Jackson, who not only said that President Trump was in good physical health, but also that he performed “exceedingly well” in a cognitive test.

One thing is for sure.  President Trump is not about to let up on CNN and rightfully so.  I wish the whole of the American people would as well.

There are indications that CNN has been losing viewers for years.  In June, it was reported:

“The latest survey from Nielsen shows CNN is losing the prime time cable news race. It has 944,000 viewers from 8 to 11 p.m. EST. Compare that to 2.3 million for Fox News and 1.7 million for MSNBC.” (source)

Here’s the full press conference.
