“Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.” -Luke 16:15
Yesterday, in Washington D.C., we went to Arlington Cemetery to show our respects, as well as getting a more in depth look into the price paid for America’s freedoms (John 15:13).
There is no more solemn place to go, a place to reflect and consider how many of these men paid the ultimate price for us to be a free people under God (Psalm 33:12). Row after row of the honorable dead.
The only thing you can think to say is “Thank you” by living for what they died to give (2 Corinthians 5:15).
On the other hand, I noticed, when touring throughout this large cemetery, was who the tour guide was highlighting concerning those who were buried there.
I heard names such as George Marshall, Donald Rumsfeld, Colin Powell, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Robert McNamara, Ted Kennedy, John Dulles, etc…
Friends, these men and woman are a national disgrace and yet, they are buried with the honorable.
For example: Injustice Ruth Bader Ginsburg told the Egyptian people, “I would not look to the U.S. Constitution, if I were drafting a Constitution in the year 2012.”
Ruth Bader Ginsburg To Egypt: Don’t Use Our Constitution As A Guide
Ginsburg is also the one responsible for saying “Frankly, I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of.” Sixty-three million babies later (2 Kings 24:4)!
This was in the face of “The Constitution contains no right to abortion,” which was uttered by US Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.
Friends, those who are buried in Arlington took an oath to uphold the Constitution and, in many cases, lost their lives in doing so.
When it comes to that of the likes of warmongers such as McNamara, Rumsfeld, and Powell, the sad part is that they are responsible for sending our soldiers to unconstitutional wars to get killed and yet, are buried right beside them.
These men and women can honor themselves all that they want, but many of us know the difference between the just and the unjust (Ezekiel 44:23; Matthew 7:16).
“Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.” -Luke 16:15
In conclusion: In the end, this will all be set aright on the Day of Judgment (Hebrews 9:27), where the righteous will be separated from the unjust (Matthew 25:31-46).
I’m just sorry that the American people didn’t take the time to separate them while they had the time in doing so here on earth!
