Communist News Network: It’s Brave and Courageous to Attack and Try to Kill Police

I’m not sure there has ever been a better example of worse stupidity in the media than what took place on Saturday over at CNN.

Early Saturday morning James Boulware attacked the Dallas Police Headquarters in Dallas, Texas. He fired a hail of bullets at the Dallas Police Headquarters after planting bombs just outside the building, hoping to hurt the officers as they left the building to pursue him. Fortunately, no officers were hurt in the gunfire, and the police gave chase as Boulware drove away eventually stopping in a nearby suburb of Dallas.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Dallas SWAT attempted to negotiate with the man, but instead of calming the situation, Boulware opened the van door and fired at police. Eventually a police sniper shot the van’s engine block, ensuring that the van would go no further. The suspect continued to make threats and even told the police not to approach because the vehicle was filled with explosives. The standoff finally led police to shoot Boulware through the van windshield, killing him.

All of this is terrible enough as it is… but it became worse when CNN anchor Fredricka Whitfield got involved later Saturday morning. Because that was when Whitfield said this…

“It was very courageous and brave, if not crazy as well, to open fire on the police headquarters, and now you have this scene, this standoff. So you believe these are the hallmarks of more than one person’s involvement.”

I cannot imagine, for the life of me, that she meant this the way that it came out. She could not possibly have meant to use courageous and brave – she was probably trying to find the right way to say something like daring, or fearless or ballsy. Something that did not have a positive connotation, but would express that Boulware was being very aggressive with his choice of targets.

Instead she made it sound as though she respected or even admired this violent man who was seeking to do harm to innocent men and women. Not a good idea, and the Internet let her know about it…
